AKB48 in New York; Saturday 26th

Plenty of things happened on Saturday, during the Q&A session and the mini-live AKB did in the Javits Center in New York.

Nor I nor Heiwa weren't there but I have friends who were there and let me tell you they were in heaven.

Here are some highlights of the day:


- The Q&A session was prepared beforehand and they picked random people to make the questions. We still haven't got a good recording (audio or video) of the full the Q&A, but these are the main questions and answers (from SaeYaka).

*Why did you audition for AKB48?
  • Sayaka: "Because I love performing in front of people and I love singing."
  • Sae: "Before the school exams season I wanted to do one audition and that was AKB's."

*What do you do in your free time?
  • Sayaka: (in English) "Clean my room."
  • Sae: "Eating, sleeping, back to eat and sleep.

*What kind of music you have in your player?
  • Sayaka: (in English) "Of course listening our song and Michael Jackson."
  • Sae: "AKB48 and ABBA."

*What's your favorite AKB song?
  • Sayaka: "Boku no Taiyou."
  • Sae: "BINGO!"

- People said the girls look way prettier in person.

- Sayaka made triple efforts to communicate in English. I listened to her in some videos and I can say although her grammar is still broken her pronunciation is great, very American (I specially love her "R" sound) *thumbs-up*. Sae, on the other hand, knows zero English, so everything she said probably took her a lot of effort, so thumbs-up for her, too.

- The mini-live consisted of:
  • Overture
  • Iiwake Maybe
  • -Sayaka speaks in English *love*-

  • 10nen Zakura
  • -Sayaka speaks in English again *love*-
  • Namida Surprise

    It's okay for you to snapshot for your own benefit but not for others.

    Enjoy what you offer and don't beg for platitudes.

    Truth be told, I do actually appreciate what you offer on this site, I really do. It's just that it really pisses me off when people start branding images as their own property just because they spent a millisecond pressing the snap button.

    Would you appreciate AKBINGO as much if the clips uploaded had JAPGALS.COM over the middle of it. No, I think not.

  6. Actually I took this photo in question. I gave a copy of the photo for this site only! They can do what ever they want with it. Watermark, whatever. I never plan on sharing the snapshot except for this blog. This is my private photo and I give this site permission to do whatever they want with it.

    @Anonymous: Sorry, If I was a dick. You would have never see this photo at all. NEVER! You should thank this site for letting you even see this photo and sharing it with the Saeyaka fans.

  7. @Anonymous: Well, it would be really interesting to know who you are to begin with. I don't think covering yourself into an "Anonymous" name help. Thank you.

    I try to promote this site the most I can. I've found some screen shots and gifs made by Heiwa or myself in boards lately. I'd really appreciate people to mention our site when they take them, because I do really want more and more people to visit us.

    I don't want people to thank us for making this site, I just want people to come here, enjoy the visit, and come back. I want they know they can always find here all the SaeYaka information they want. And if the information is not here, I want they feel free to ask for it.

    It's not a copyright thing, it's a promotion one. I'm really sorry if that has offended you as a visitor. My intention clearly wasn't the one you understood.

    I'll consider your words next time and I'd thank you if you began to use your real name to have a more open communication.

  11. I wasn't referring to the private pic, I was referring to the snaps of AKBingo, BLTs, etc, any AKB properties.

    Yes, I appreciate personal pics but that wasn't the point of my statement. But on that note, sticking the mark in the middle of the picture is, face it, really stupid. Chuck a SMALL one in the corner in that case. It's achieves the same thing for these private pics.

    I stand by what I said, that branding other peoples properties is, to put it mildly, selfish. I'm sure you love to grab pics from other sites for yourself and would hate them to be tarnished with logos - you'd look elsewhere for clean ones. It's hypocrisy.

    As for anonymous, I'm a regular here and this dissenting comment might send some fangirls and boys of yours into a tizzy for your sake, even though I'm certain most agree with me.

    So, again, please think about it.

  14. Well thank you guy, everyone, now just let's take it easy, right?

    A simple watermark in a simple screen shot shouldn't be the reason of WWIII.

    @Anonymous: As I said previously, I'll consider your opinion the next time I use a screen shot.

    Don't know if you noticed but most of the screen shots are watermarked in a corner where they don't really affect the face or expression of the girls.
    The last case was special because Wil gave it to me, taken from his own and personal video. I didn't think the mark was covering any strategic par of Sae or Sayaka's face, anyways.

    I hope you had understood the explanation I gave you before.
    Don't know if had noticed, but for the girls bday I scanned pictures I bought myself and shared them with everyone without any mark, because it was a gift. I'm not that selfish. Just want to make sure you had got the point of watermarking: promotion, not copyright.

    Anyways, thank you very much for your comment, I'll take it as an advice. Despite the slight rudeness at least you let know you care, and I do appreciate that.

  15. I wasn't at the Con to see them there, but I was at the concert on Sunday with a few friends. Our photos combined we took like, 400 pictures...though maybe less than a quarter were good...they moved a lot and quickly too... xD;;

    But yeah, that was my first encounter with AKB48, and I liked Sae the best outta the group up there. She just looked like she was having so much fun. 8D

    I know I did. Saw them up close, really close. Got pictures of them, some videos, and even got a free hankerchief(I think?) and bought a really nice photo of Sae. :3

  18. Aw, Ange and Heiwa too bad you weren't there to fan girl with me! It would've been awesome to meet you two in person.

    I still feel like I'm in heaven. The Twin Towers, individually and as a pair,interacting with me was an epic moment. Interacting with ANY of those girls that went to NY was an epic moment. Seriously, I've never felt that good in my life. I could go on, but I already wrote all that needs to be said in my review in the forums. Feels like I didn't say enough about them though. hehe And Whiteyuri just reminded me she and Sae talked about me during the signing. *sigh* ^_^ This event is the best early birthday present ever.

    Oh, here's something interesting: during the concert whenever Sayaka went up to speak I tried to get Del to yell out Fightiiiing! with me, but when whenever we tried it was drowned out by the cheers of the crowd. And then after like the millionth try Sae, who was right in front of us, heard us. She was like 'Oh! Come on do it louder!' But when we tried to do it the crowd went nuts for Sayaka again. lol oh well at least we tried.

    And btw, when that douchebag asked "do you girls have boyfriends?" Sayaka was the only one to answer right away with a "No." I should've screamed out "MARRY ME!" LOL

    Hi Ange, we record this videos, are mainly focus on Sayaka, I leave it here so every Sayaka fan can see it :P, in a personal note, was amazing seen Sayaka so close :D and all the interaction with her in the concerts.

    As Kika said Sayaka is wonderful and beautiful in person...watch the videos she posted, we had a great place in the front and toward the side where the girls appeared ;) plus we focused in our favorite gals check it out

    Ah!...we'll post some pics of the NYAF in our website but that will be until tomorrow, still we know that you'll love them
