Well, if you go to the right side of the blog you'll find a new poll (below the blog description). This is our first one and we've made a simple question this time. It's simple coz you obviously gotta know the songs, but probably choosing one will be difficult.

Je t'aime, Je t'aime -Sayaka in Paris-

As you may know, AKB48 (represented by Team A) would be going to the Japan Expo in France. It was announced in the Official Blog and there was a video where Takamina and others talked about it.

Well, yesterday we had news about this, and not precisely good news for Team A fans. Looks like management changed the things a bit and they gave a new list of goers to the expo. Don't panic that much, AKB48 is still going.

Honestly, the information in the official blog isn't very clear about this. They mention the "Japan Expo Tour," but at first we weren't sure if they were talking about the concert or about the tour they'd have with the fan club members who applied to go with them.

At first I thought this new list of members was for the FC tour only and that Team A would still go to perform. But now, as hours pass, I'm beginning to think the full Team A isn't really going to France. Anyways, the important part of all this fuss is... SAYAKA IS ON THE LIST OF ATTENDING MEMBERS!

Now, we need money to go to France. A plane ticket is USD1700. Christ -____-

Well, all we can do - since we are not in Europe - is waiting for some TV shots about it (mainly AKBINGO).

Sayaka speaking French must be sweet! Kyun kyun.

I hope Sayaka have a great time there and she can really enjoy with the European fans that will be there. Please guys, you who are going, take care of the girls! Treat them as they deserve, that's to say, like princesses... =)

High Kick Girl

The High Kick Girl movie will be released this May 30th. As we all know, Sayaka has a small role in this movie. But hey, small, but still amazing. LOL.

The movie stars a girl who is an eminence in karate. But we don't really care about it, we just care about Sayaka owning the protagonist.

The High Kick Girl official blog uploaded a new Sayaka picture wearing that amazing dark school uniform and those cute pig tails. Seeing that picture was so exciting that I decided to post all the HKG Sayaka pictures we have so far (they are not so many, don't get over excited).

Sayaka's SHOW OFF comment

So, into this voting "game" we spoke about in the previous entry, the girls go presenting their "show off comments" everyday. These can be watched at the theater and via DMM. These comments are basically short videos where the girls speak asking people to vote for them.

Sayaka was in the first trio to show their videos, let's review it!

Sayaka appears speaking like a lady. "Hi, I'm Akimoto Sayaka, 20 years old." Then, she suddenly changes to the rude girl she is sometimes and takes the microphone. "Hey, I'm Akimoto Sayaka, 20 years old! This time I'm totally ready to announce my candidacy for this election!!!"


Then she goes back to normal and begin a little speech... I didn't understand the whole thing but she basically says there are many kind of girls in AKB and that it's be nice to choose a girl like her for this.


Then Sayaka says she's a bit nervous and that she wants to drink some water... And when we think she's gonna take the glass... She takes the jar :O


Sayaka drinks water from the jar, but the water leaks through the borders of the jar (XD) She stifles a bit... by laughing. LOL.

AKB48 13th single voting: The game we don't want to play but we have to.

AKB48 next single "Namida Surprise" (to be released in June 24, single #12) will include a system to vote for the girl you want to be in the next single (#13). Sayaka wasn't chosen for Namida Surprise, so, besides being really pissed and frustrated about it (this is how fans begin to fade...), we are really excited and yet worried about the voting for the Namida Surprise following single.

Excited, because we really want Sayaka to be there. Worried, because we don't know if our support will reach that distant land Japan is. Let's face it, we are only overseas fans.

The voting system is pretty "nazi" (sorry if someone feels offended about this concept I'm using):

- Buying the Namida Surprise single (not theater version).
- Via Fan Club (if member) [FC from now on]
- Via Mobile Site (if member)
- Via DMM (if monthly member)

So, the chances for us overseas fans to vote are only two: buying the single (something I [Ange] will not do) or voting via FC in case you're registered.

The tentative voting period is from 06/23 to 07/07. That gives us 15 days to vote. If the single includes a vote inside you have to send, many overseas fans won't be able to send their votes at time, so this reduces the overseas votes to a few people who's got the luck to be a FC member.

I'm a FC member, but many Sayaka fans out there are not, and they are not less Sayaka fans because of that. So, how can they vote, I wonder? Japanese Sayaka fans better begin to do something about this, they gotta show all their support now when our Sayaka needs it.

So, this takes us to think that all this voting thing is kind of a "bullshit."

Exposing the girls to this goes a bit far. Heiwa was pretty correct when she told me: "This is like denigrating the girls." This got me thinking and I cannot do anything else than agreeing.
However, the only reply to this is: "This is the idol world." Our loved and yet hated idol world. When things are sweet one day and bitter the next one.

Is this necessary? Who will be actually picked? Will something like the "Shonichi issue"* happen again? That's to say (in theory), many fans committed to vote the same girl to push her to the selected members?

If the typical girls are selected (Acchan, Takamina, Kojiharu, Yuko, Sae (thankfully), etc.), is there a need to rub on the non-selected ones faces that, in fact, they are not that popular and will never be (or be again)?

Somehow, this hurts. And I can bet it hurts for many of these girls.

Anyways, no matter what Sayaka, we will support you no matter what. You gotta be in that single. We have to recognize the hard work you always do.

I know we are the most annoying fans on the Earth, but that is what makes us what we are: YOUR ALWAYS LOYAL OVERSEAS FANS.

Seishirayuri Kishidan: Interview to Akimoto Sayaka

As promised in the previous entry, SaeYaka Paradise has translated the full interview made by Movie Collection to Akimoto Sayaka on her movie, "Seishirayuri Kishidan [聖白百合騎士団]: Super Gore Girl."

Practicing cool ways to shoot a gun in front of the mirror.

World War II is over and Japan didn't surrender to the Allies.

The gun action movie "Seishirayuri Kishidan" occurs in a ladies school of this alternate world.

In this movie, the AKB48 member Akimoto Sayaka plays Yukie, the heroine and object of the school's affection.

The school girls with their tidy uniforms get involved in a desperate fight. In the midst of this, Yukie fights against the dictatorial Student Council with a cool expression and without breaking a sweat.

We spoke to Akimoto, who performed this magnificent gun action while wearing a school uniform stained with blood, about behind the scenes stories from the filming and what she does on her days off.



- First, tell us what you felt when you watched the finished movie.

Akimoto Sayaka: I was totally happy. It was different than the filming, it had music, it was edited. The gun action scenes were so intense, I was really excited. I think I was like this because it was my first challenge.


- This is a gun action movie. Were you taught to shoot guns by the director?

Akimoto: Yes. But he said it would be surprisingly easy, so I'd have no problem (laughs). To tell the truth, when I met the director for first time, he gave me a model gun to practice cool ways to shoot a gun in front of the mirror. At first I thought he was lending me the gun, but when he said "Here, I'm giving it to you," I was surprised. So, since then, I practiced in front of the mirror. I kept this handling style because I was told it was cool.



- What were the difficult aspects of this gun action?

Akimoto: Nothing in particular. It was really fun. However, I wore a gun belt in my thigh and I had to put the gun there, but I had to pay attention to how I handled it, otherwise it would look like I was handling a gun for the first time.


- What kind of instruction did you get from the director over your role?

Akimoto: I was told at first she was a lady beyond other's reach, the biggest madonna of the school. Even her style of speech is a very old style of feminine speech. The real me hadn't really used that kind of words so I wondered if I'd be ok.


- So well, how is the real Akimoto?

Akimoto: I'm straightforward, kind of the opposite from a lady. I never thought I'd be asked to play a role like this. For a moment I thought I wanted to be elegant, but there is no way (laughs).


- How did you create the role of this lady?

Akimoto: I paid attention to things I used to overlook, like the way to hold a coffee cup. Also, the tone. This character used a slow and calm elocution and since my speech is totally different, it was really hard.


- This character was very popular with women. What about the real Akimoto?

Akimoto: As a member of AKB48, I also receive lots of letters from women.


- And that also happened to you before entering this world?

Akimoto: I hadn't realized but, it looks like it happened to me before, too. When I was at school, I was on the basketball team and when I graduated, they (girls) asked me to give them my jerseys and then I gave them all. And also my indoor shoes, they asked for them because I had worn them (laughs). I wondered it was ok, but they said it was fine, and asked for them.


- Is it complicated for a woman to be liked by other women?

Akimoto: No. People around me say that's good. Being of the same gender means that we see the things from the same perspective, right? That's why when they say they like me I feel really happy.


- So, the role of the "yearned one" suits you well?

Akimoto: It's kind of awe-inspiring (laughs). But it's an honor so I was very happy. I think I want to be admired like that.


- Is there any difference between your activity in AKB48 and your current activity as an actress?

Akimoto: The AKB48 theater is a place where everyone is ultimately facing her dreams and giving her best. We sing, we dance and we also act. So I think it's the same in that we're expressing ourselves. However, in the case of movies and dramas, since there are many people who is seeing you for first time, it's important you to open your heart and communicate every time.


- Tell us how you switch from your working days to your days off.

Akimoto: The change is very extreme. On the days I work, I use all my energy to perform, but on my days off I use all my energy to sleep and such.


- So how are your days off?

Akimoto: They're leisure days. You may think I'm an active person, but I spend my days off at ease. I feel the breeze, I take a walk, I go to temples…


- Finally, tell us your favorite scene of this movie.

Akimoto: I have two. One is when I shoot the big rifle. It was more than 10 kilograms so at first, the director asked me worriedly, "Can you hold it?", but I took it firmly and went shooting.
And the other scene is at the end, when Sachiko and Yukie look back, smile, and leave. Personally, I think that smile is very gentle and nice so please go see it.

Today is Sayaka's movie first day! Around 9pm at Tsutaya theater... Seishirayuri Kishidan -Super Gore Girl- starring Sayaka Akimoto.

Sae's old hair is back

Let's face it, we all loved Sae's short hair. We all loved Sae with long hair, too. But we secretly expected she'd be back someday with that short hair that bewitched us in Keibetsu Shiteita Aijou.



Some months ago Sae seemed to have got bored of her long hair coz the surprised us with a slightly shorter hair!

I personally liked this one a lot *^___^*

Did we think Sae's hair was short again? We were wrong, it could be shorter!!!! Just one week ago, Sae gave the us the ultimate surprise...

Short hair isn't a style that suits every woman, it's not even hot in every woman, but Sae... Oh Sae... She looks great. I think I had never seen a woman who could look that cool with that style.

Now, we just ask one more thing!

Sayaka strikes Hokkaido

During the last AKBINGO, the already graduated Maimai was given a last mission to accomplish. To run a marathon! However, she wouldn't be alone, Meetan and Sayaka were chosen to join her.

And so is like Sayaka arrived to Hokkaido (far north of Japan) to tun a half marathon!!!

Maimai, Sayaka, Meetan, Reina (Fujie) and Chisato (Nakata) were the AKB48 members who finally joined the race.

My informers have told Sayaka ran with the number 2579.

If a full marathon is 42kms (26 miles), the half must be 21kms. I wonder if the girls really ran that painful quantity of kilometers.

For you to be calm, I can say that none of the girls died in the race. LOL
