Necktie, necktie, necktie....!

In the previous entry we talked about Mariko recording a CM and Sayaka possibly recording with her.

Today, again in her blog, Mariko wrote about the recording and posted a revealer picture...



Necktie! Man suit! OMIGOD. So Sayaka was, effectively, recording a CM. Otherwise, why dressing like that?

For the moment, I can only think on Mariko's banner in the Acom Cash One campaign, where she wears a man suit and, if not wrong, exactly the same necktie.

Sayaka recording a CM?

Nothing confirmed but it seems Sayaka has recorded a CM together with Mariko.

Mariko wrote in her blog that she had been recording a CM and she mentioned she had been with Sayaka.

We still don't know if they were recording or if they were just hanging around together.

Actually, all this was a excuse to post this picture (XD).

IN BRIEF: Michael Jackson passes away

Yea, you read well. We are writing about Michael Jackson.

Michael Jackson, also know as the King of Pop, died today from a heart attack at the age of 50.

Why we talk about MJ here?

In case you didn't know, Michael Jackson was Sayaka's favorite artist. She mentioned it several times before in events, stages and shows (she likes Janet Jackson, too). She was the target of laughter from Sae and others because of that (actually, I also laughed about it XD).

Sayaka must be feeling sad right now, so we send her our support and love from here ^___^

Namida Surprise! hits #2, Sayaka reaches #22 in first day voting

AKB48's latest single, "Namida Surprise!" (released in June 24th), debuted at #2 in Oricon chart with 41,046 copies sold, and tt kept this position the second day at 19,135 copies.

Sayaka isn't in this single and the song is not good (in my personal opinion), but we have to remember Sae is still there representing the Twin Towers.

In related news, as you can remember, together with Namida Surprise would begin the voting for the next AKB single, to be released in August. The first 21 members with most votes will be part of the single and the following members from 22 to 30 would sing the c/w song (aka b-side).

As of the first day of voting, Sayaka had reached the 22th spot, which leaves her put of the single but into the b-side. Is this a sign of her losing popularity? Or it's just a show of the dark power of money and influences? *looks at popular members agencies* I dare to say it's both.

I know many Sayaka fans can't vote and I know many of you must feel bad for not being to do it. But it's ok, that's something we have to accept. After all, "we live outside."

So we have to hope now that Sayaka Japanese fans go voting furiously.

Sae got the 13th spot.

The legend of 'OKARO' [オカロ]

Have you ever heard the nickname "Okaro"? If you're a Sayaka fan, I bet you've done, at least once.

Sayaka is called OKARO mostly by the Japanese wotas (specially in written sources, more than the speech) but also sometimes by other members (Meetan referred to Sayaka as OKARO once in her blog).

But what is OKARO? Who invented it? Does it have any sense? That's what we will try to untangle today.

The legend says that the creator of this name is Maimai. Maimai is well known for being a bit dumb, right? That's how the OKARO name came to life.

To explain this, we have to see how Sayaka is written in kanji:


Sayaka is composed of two characters: 才 (saya) and 加 (ka). However, 加 (ka) has two parts, can you see? So, if we divide this kanji in two, we would have 力 (chikara) and 口 (kuchi).

Let's then think as Maimai does. When she saw Sayaka's name in kanji (才加) she didn't read it as two kanji, but as three characters: 才, 力,　and 口. To make the things worse, the read them not as kanji, but as katakana.

The 才 (sa) kanji is pretty similar to the katakana オ (o), while the two parts of 加 (ka) (力 [chikara] and 口 [kuchi]) are very similar - if not identical - to the katakana カ (ka) and ロ (ro).

So, what Maimai read was:



Yes, Okaro. As you see, it's just a misread, it has no meaning.

That's how the legend begins...

I don't know if Sayaka likes this, I don't even think it's widely used by the other members, but I've seen it. So us, as Sayaka fans, must know this to not ask: Who is Okaro?

Random Sayaka tip: K5 06/15

I was reading Memolist site today to see what had happened in today's (06/15) K5.

The site has not the whole show transcription as usual yet, just the main parts.

So well, Sayaka said today that at elementary school times the boy she liked called her "Sachiel" (one of the 'Angels' in Evangelion). She didn't know who Sachiel was so she went to the video store and discovered it was a.... Superb robot. ^^;

I wonder why the kid called her like that... Was Sayaka some kind of destruction robot or something? Who knows.

Sayaka's haircut: Mystery solved.

Well, don't panic fellows!

Sayaka hasn't cut her hair. What we saw was a tricky hairdo, and as I thought she spoke about a "hair style" as in "hairdo", not "haircut".

Phew, some of you can be relaxed now!

As for, I don't care. I already loved that "short" hair.

Sae's SHOW OFF comment

Hi! Long time no see! ^___^

As you can remember, while ago we reviewed Sayaka's show off comment for the AKB 13th single election. Today, we will review Sae's comment! Yahoi!



Let me be frank. I had great expectations about this one. I thought of Sae jumping on the table and maybe kicking the microphone. Maybe she screaming with that genkiness in her.

But I was wrong.



Sae was extremely cute and girly, EXTREMELY. So polite, so quiet. Almost disappointing, LOL.

She kept the same position almost all the time, except in the moment she made a little bow.



She didn't interact with any of the elements on the table XD

She spoke about how much she loved AKB and fans. She explained her "genking" catch phrase with the genki + king analogy.



Of course she asked to be supported. But we all know she's in anyways ;)



And that's it.
