Update about fan presents

It's been a long time since we showed you the address to write your fan letters and send your fan presents. We also told you the things that are not allowed as presents.

Four days ago, the AKB48 official blog updated the list of not-allowed stuff, so we are doing so, too, to keep you informed.

Fan letters and fan presents are always important for us, and they are an important part of the AKB48 fan life.


This is the new list of NOT ALLOWED presents:

• Live things (flowers are allowed)
• Food and drinks
• Electronics
• Storage devices (memory cards, hard discs)
• Self-made CD's or DVD's
• Cash and money certificates (gift certificates, amusement park tickets, prepaid cards and others)
• Cosmetics, perfumes, bathing powder, medicines
• Underwear
• Hazardous materials (explosives, cutlery)
• Others (like: things too big that cannot be carried by the girls [a huge stuffed animal]).

Respect this list and your presents will be safe.

Remember every letter and present is checked by staff before being handed to the girls.

What Sayaka showed us in Infinity, thoughts by Hiroi Oji

You should know by now who is Hiroi Oji is (if you don't remember, he's the creator and director of AKB48's 1st musical, Infinity).

Days ago, Hiroi Oji wrote about Sayaka in his blog, but at the end of the day he changed his post. However, someone saved his original entry and now we bring the translation to you.

This is a good moment point out that, Sayaka is basically the person who inspired this musical. It's not my invention, I actually read it in the musical pamphlet (which I own). Akipi asked Hiroi Oji to create an AKB musical, so Hiroi Oji listened to the songs and went to see the stages. On his pamphlet interview, Hiroi Oji said that when he saw Team K stage he thought: "If Akimoto Sayaka is there, the AKB48 musical is possible."

Then, Akipi says on his own interview: "After seeing Team K, Hiroi-san told me 'Akimoto (Sayaka) is good, she's good...'."

-Live on stage-

I told the 4 leading actresses to forget about what finished today. Tomorrow there is a life to live as a new character on stage.

Team K leader, Akimoto Sayaka, does look like boyish but she's girly inside. I don't get why she over strives so much. Maybe it's her strong responsibility sense?

Nevertheless, I would say she's not as emotionally strong.

She's very, very fragile.
Perhaps the most fragile among the 4 girls.

That's why she has been shaking everyday before going on stage.
However, I think that fragility is actually essential in an actress.

Acting is not only about having fun. You quickly get a good taste of how scary the stage is.
Even more, you know that no one is going to rescue you.

I think that only by tasting that fear and defeating it, you're qualified to get the applause of the audience.

And she has correctly has passed that level.

My great friend Tanaka Kouhei visited me today.
"You found a gem," he said.

From now on, I'll have Akimoto Sayaka and the other girls in mind and I wonder who they will be. I know I shouldn't worry about them but, after being around them for a month, I feel that even if they need to improve more, it would still be a waste for them.


For their homework, I want them to learn how to face the stage more sincerely.
The stage is a sacred place. The dressing room and the rehearsal room next to the stage are also sacred.
The attitude of properly bowing when entering is essential.
I think that attitude is tied to the love, gratitude and tenderness towards the audience and the actors.

At the end of the performance, one of the main actresses (Sayaka) was sweeping the backstage area.

"Eh? Shouldn't the lower ranks clean?"
"No. The one who first sees it is the one who does it," she said.

That's the attitude I like.

So, behind all those muscles and fierce look, Sayaka is still the girl we all love. She's a real gem, and we all should be proud of her :)

In my opnion, this is one of the best (if not THE BEST) AKB48 girls campaign and pictures I've ever seen. They all look awesome. This is just a bliss for our eyes.

The ECO BAR -Save the planet with SaeYaka-

Before talking about the entry's subject, we want to thank you all for your comments. We really appreciate them! We are sorry we cannot reply to all of them T_T But we read them, always. No matter where you are from, if your a SaeYaka fan, you are always welcome! :)

Now, back to the topic...


Are you one of those who still use Internet Explorer? Do you use other browsers but still have IE installed?

Yes? Then this is for you.

So, there is some campaign to reduce CO2 emissions in Japan through a simple search internet. But to do this, you have to install the so called "ECO BAR" in you IE browser. The interesting point of this bar is that they have a AKB48 bar, with the face of some AKB members, like Sayaka and Sae.




In this post, we will show how to install the ECO BAR in your IE! :)

First of all, you must know this tool bar only works in Microsoft Windows 2000(SP4)/XP/Vista (32bit).


1. Go to this link: http://bokumori.jp/ecobar/dl01.html (download section of bokumori.jp.)

2. Already in the site, look for your favorite AKB48 member (SAYAKA or SAE) and click on the download button (marked in red in the picture).


3. You will be directed to the following page that shows you a preview of the tool bar. Click on the download button (marked in red in the picture).


4. You will be directed to the download site (a-tus.com). Your download should start automatically but depending on your security settings the automatic download might be canceled. If this is the case, just click on the link or right click and save as.


5. Depending on your preferences you can execute the .exe file immediately or save it in your computer.

After executing the file, you will see the install window. Since I don't have the Japanese region selected on my computer, I can't see the Japanese language in the install windows. If you can't, either, just click on the N button (marked in red in the picture).


6. You will be asked if you agree to the terms and conditions (1), mark the box and then click on the next button (2).


7. I don't know what the marked box says, but just keep it marked XD. Then press the F button (marked in red in the picture).


8. Your tool bar is installed. Run IE. Now you can See Sayaka or Sae! (the bar might take some seconds to load, don't panic).

Here, important parts of the bar:
(1) Search bar. Evertime you do a search, you reduce 10g of CO2.
(2) It shows the CO2 you have reduced.
(3) It shows the CO2 everyone has reduced. The count is next to this button. The statics button shows you graphics.
(4) AKB48 RSS. Click on them and you will be redirected to the AKB48 Official Blog.
(5) Links to AKB48 Yumemoba (forget it, only for Japanese cellphones).
(6) Links to the AKB48 official shop.
(7) Links to http://bokumori.jp


9. If you click on Sayaka/Sae's face, a bigger profile bar will open up bellow the original bar. Next to the profile you will find links to AKB products (from official shop). Close the profile clicking on the X or clicking on the face again.


10. When you search a term, the bar uses it own search engine.



And that's all.

Come to think Sayaka was destroying the planet one year ago... XD

When I got home yesterday after a tiring working day (XD), makistar almost attacked me on MSN with an hysteric "OMG" and a link... Of course, I checked the link immediately and nervously.

INFINITY has already begun!

I talked to S48's rui about it (she went to the Sayaka-Takamina performance) and her opinion is that the production itself wasn't very good but that Sayaka's and Takamina's high quality performance made of the musical a success (besides the fact the kissed like three times).

Other people who went to watch the musical said Sayaka solos were simply amazing and that she should aim to be a musical actress if she ever leaves AKB.

Haven't read opinions about Sae-Yuki yet.

The day before the "premiere", the musical was shown to press, so we got to know the costumes and saw some scenes of the final rehearsal. And yes, we saw the already famous Sae-Yukirin kiss.
I wonder why the Sayaka-Takamina kisses were not shown on TV. My theory is: too hot for Japanese TV :P

Sayaka speaks about the male role: "I've had the male role a lot of times in AKB performances but I'm grateful in this male role I've been able to find a new charm."

Sae said she got goosebumps when she saw the Sayaka-Takamina performance. Haha (I wonder why... LOL)

Again about the kiss scene, Sayaka says: "First and foremost, we're AKB, we're idols, but in the musical, as an actress, I wanted to do it well. So I put aside the fact that we can't do it because we're idols, and 'since it is in the script, let's do it', I said, and did it."

Takamina added: "Sayaka is a girl but I tried to think of her as a lovely man that makes your heart jump (laughs). But then she suddenly kissed me in the rehearsal room, 'ahhh', my heart beat fast."

Sae speaks about the kiss to Yukirin, too: "Saying the word 'kiss' is really embarrassing, now. I really turn into a woman. Since my partner is Yukirin, I do it like 'Itadakimayuyu'."

Barks goes into the kiss subject, too and explains certain things, such as the origin of the kiss.

Why did Takamina's heart beat so fast with the sudden Sayaka kiss? The truth is that at first, they were not supposed to kiss for real. The kisses would be fake by putting their fingers between their lips. But one day, during the rehearsal, Sayaka went for the real thing. Of course, Takamina almost died.

The director asked Sayaka if she was going to do it for real in the musical and she said "yes, since it is in the script, let's do it."
