The song is entitled "Sakura no Shiori" (桜の栞), that translates as "Cherry blossom Bookmark."
As you already know, the interesting thing of this single is that there will be 3 different types. The usual Theater version, and 2 versions that will be sold at stores. The difference between these two versions is that one has a song sung by Team Weekly Playboy (PB) and the other one has a song sung by Team Young Jump (YJ). So, depending on who you want to support, you have to buy type A or B.
Team PB is: Miyazawa Sae, Miyazaki Miho, Oota Aika, Nito Moeno, Takajo Aki, Maeda Ami and Kashiwagi Yuki.
Team YJ is: Kasai Tomomi, Kitahara Rie, Nakagawa Haruka, Minegishi Minami, Sashihara Rino, Kuramochi Asuka and Kikuchi Ayaka
Single Type A includes the PB song and single Type B includes the YJ song.
Of course I ordered the Type A. Have to support Sae!
Now, about "Sakura no Shiori"...
I was expecting to see Sayaka as a senbatsu this time but she wasn't chosen. Sae was chosen, though! No reason to cry :P
Seeing Sayaka out of senbatsu is always a pain, but somehow it doesn't bother me this time. Why? Because all the AKB girls will be in the PV (promotional video) and all of them sing. The difference between a senbatsu and the rest in this single is that the senbatsu have different clothes, they are in the front row and the cameras focus on them. Nothing else. There are not even solo lines. I'll comment about the song later in this post ;)

Sakura no Shiori in Tokudane!
What do you think about this "choir song"?I must confess I was shocked at first. Very shocked. And I found it lame, good, but lame. But how can a song be good and lame at the same time? So after listening lots of times and after watching the Tokudane performance I realized the song is not lame as I thought at first. The problem is that it doesn't sound like the AKB we know and that shocks us so much that we hate it at first. But please, listen more carefully, watch the Tokudane performance. See the girls, see Sayaka and Sae looking extremely cute. You can't NOT to melt and sigh.
Don't forget this is a graduation song and soon or later Akipi would give us a "proper" graduation song. I mean, do you think a school would allow students to sing "10 Nen Zakura" on their graduation ceremony? I don't think so. But "Sakura no Shiori" is different.
By the way, speaking about the Tokudane performance. Is it me or the choreography looks totally like a sign language? Beautiful. Much beautiful than the AKBINGO perf. I hope they keep doing that.
Well, I think I'm not forgetting any info about this single.
