Sayaka in Kinjirareta Futari... OMG

Yes, the title of the entry is correct.

Sayaka in Kinjirareta Futari. The ultimate AKB48 lesbian song, originally performed by Yuko and Kasai.

The dream of every Sayaka wota. The dream of every SaeYaka wota. Your dream, my dream...

If you don't know it, here is the original video.

And if you're asking: "Huh? Why is it lesbian?" then here is the translation:

Forbidden pair

In the morning mist of a grove of trees
There's only the sigh of someone
The water of a lake that cannot be found at maps
Is still sleeping

It's a too peaceful pain
Where words are lost
In the last scene of memories
One day I came to this place

I love you
Anywhere
You love me
Forever
In what I eternally trusted
I found a sin

Please,
Forgive me
For not coming true this love
For keeping it hidden in my heart
Please,
In a cruel destiny
We both give in…
Forbidden pair

"As if I threw a pebble into a lake,
My heart ripples in the water.
I don't want anyone else.
Is this wrong?"

The boat in the bank
Is tied by a rope
If I ran away from society
I'd go to a distant world

Don't blame me…
Don't cry alone…
We both shared happiness
And a kiss
Is a strong bond

And if
If I hadn't born like a woman
We wouldn't be apart
And
If I had born like a man
We'd be together

I love you
Anywhere
You love me
Forever
In what I eternally trusted
Two women
Are a sin

Please,
Please,
Forgive me
For not coming true this love
For keeping it hidden in my heart
Please,
In a cruel destiny
We both give in…
Forbidden pair

And if
If I hadn't born like a woman
We wouldn't be apart
And
If I had born like a man
We'd be together

"So, let's leave in the lake's boat.
And if we get tired of rowing, sleep in my arms.
Because in a dream, we love each other forever…"

So why am I babbling about Kinjifu (Kinjirareta Futari) so much?

Because I just found out that Sayaka actually REPLACED KASAI TOMOMI ONCE in this song...

-> face of every Sayaka fan right now.

Yes, it's true, I'm not lying! T__________T

First, you have to know Kinjifu is a unit song (Yuko and Kasai) from Team K's second stage, "Seishun Girls," that ran from July 8th, 2006 to November 6th, 2006. Yes, it's been a while. I wasn't even an AKB fan by then (I feel terrible about this right now). At any case, in that time we didn't have LOD's so the only way to see every performance was by going to the theater every day. That's to say: There is not recording available of Sayaka subbing Tomomi Kasai in Kinjifu and we should not even dream of ever watching this *cries profusely*

I mean, this is so under that I just found out! And have to say people who I commented this had no idea... o_O

Anyways, today I was reading some comments about Sayaka in a web site (in Japanese). Then I read: "I'll never forget Sayaka's pink in Kinjifu, it suited her so well." My immediate reaction was -> o_O

Sayaka in Kinjifu!? I read again, and again. I couldn't believe it. I thought my Japanese might me deceiving me. So I went to the Memolist site, because that is place to check when it comes to AKB performances. This site has the whole AKB performance history from the very beginning. So if Sayaka ever subbed Tomomi in Kinjifu, Memolist had to know it.

The first thing I found about it was Sayaka speaking at Tomomi's birthday show last year. Sayaka commented something like this: "People who are new to AKB may not know this but during Seishun Girls stage, I subbed Kasai once in her unit song, Kinjirareta Futari (...) Since I barely wear cute clothes in AKB, that was a great experience."

I almost fainted. But... Could my Japanese be deceiving me again? Also, when exactly was it?

So Google helped me and directed me to Memolist again.

August 29, 2006. The day when she wore pink and we weren't there to see it.

Memolist said Sayaka looked very good in pink and that she did very well. You know, Sayaka subbed Kasai, the "cute" role in Kinjifu, so bearing in mind Sayaka has that strong image, it's weird to think of her looking cute. But I trust Memolist. He said she looked and did well.

I feel miserable right now. Sayaka in Kinjifu must have been epic.

The review of that day says that after Blue Rose there was a gap (that's because Kinjifu came immediately after BR, the SaeYaka unit song), and then Kinjifu came, with Sayaka as Tomomi. Sayaka commented during that day MC: "My legs were shaking, I thought I'd be told 'go away!', and I wanted people to see this unexpected side of me..."

And that's it. I want to cry right now. I mean, one of my absolute dreams actually happened in 2006 and I wasn't there to see it and there is no way I can see it! Life is unfair.

P.S: Other two people replaced Kasai in Kinjifu during her illness absence: Erena and Nonti.

  1. I always thought "The ultimate AKB48 lesbian song" was Oshibe to meshibe to yoru no chouchou sung by Meetan and Kasai..

But that aside, I feel kinda sad that Sayaka would think people would tell her to go away just by playing a cute role in a song... :( Course we wouldn't! (and those who would: be damned to hell)

Aww.. :( that's too bad about missing the perf, but!!

"Because in a dream", Sayaka would always be wearing anything you want and fulfil your fangirl desires ^_^ *shot*

  2. Ooh, thanks for the translation and explanation! I'm an AKB n00b, and so I'm unfamiliar with most of the songs. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that the song in question is one of the ones I really like! Oh man, I'd LOVE to hear Sayaka sing this, too! *__*

Well, if we say "ultimate" with a "last" meaning, yes, it's OshiMeshi.

But if we say "ultimate" with a "fundamental" or "extreme" meaning, it's KinjiFu. The first one, the pioneer.

"In a dream... we love each other forever..."

    I can't resist... *cries*

    Kimuu:

KinjiFu is a great song, i've always loved it, even if it has nor Sayaka nor Sae. :)
