And the new Team K first stage, or the sixth stage of Team K, RESET, began in March 12th.
I didn't know what to think at first. Sadly, I read and heard comments I didn't want to hear before watching it, so my hopes were low and I felt terrible. I was told Sayaka's unit was the worst one. A knife in my heart! Hurt so... But I had to see it myself before committing suicide...
The first time you watch or hear this, you feel K6 is not Team K-ish and think that since its name is RESET, they are perhaps trying to give new airs to the team. Talking to Hana, she felt K6 was B-ish, but I felt it was more like Team A. However, the second time I watched it, I noticed Team K's power appeared intermittently and I thanked that.
K6 isn't a bad stage. It's not the Team K we used to know, but it's not a brand new Team either. I'd say K has been "refreshed" instead of "reset".
It's still shocking to see Tomochin sharing the front line with Yuko, though. I have nothing against Tomochin but she's totally opposite to my idea of K. Miichan fits my K image better.
Sayaka stepped back in this new Team K, so did Sae. However, Sae keeps having an important role. She's not the second one in line anymore and she has to be behind Yuko and Tomochin now. Sayaka is in the middle now. Understandable, though. Tomochin and Miichan are A faces that cannot be left behind and Sayaka had to pay the price. Now, Sayaka sits with Miichan in the middle of the Team, not in the front, neither in the back.
For a SaeYaka fan, for a Sayaka fan, this hurts a bit at first. But when you see your girls giving their best on stage you realize they are happy by just being there. Now, if we base the front lines on who leads each unit, K6 has made things easy: Tomochin, Sae, Miichan, Sayaka and Yuko. K6 units strongly marked the difference. If I had to make a pyramid with these 5 names, then it'd be like this (front being the first ones):
Yuko - Tomochin
Sae
Sayaka - MiichanSo well, no matter what, this just makes me love my Sayaka more.

:D
As for Team B and RS members, I'm glad Moeno and Yonezawa are here. And some ex-RS surprised me greatly ;)
Now, let's review K6 (from a SaeYaka perspective, of course).
Ehem... I tried to reduce the number of screen shots this time, plus I added some damn big gifs, LOL.
RESET has a song previous to the overture. This is song is by Research Students and I don't really care about it so... I won't bother reviewing :P (yeah, I'm evil).
K6 opens with
RESET, which is a good song. BTW, K6 main feature is: great group songs, not that great unit songs.
Once RESET starts, you realize something is going on (besides Erena getting fat ^^;). The choreography difficulty level has increased notoriously. This is not strange bearing in mind the new Team K has the best AKB dancers: Tomochin, Miichan, Umeda, Yuko, Sae, and Sayaka (why not? She thinks she stinks at dancing but I think she's great, LOL. I know, my objectiveness level is equal to zero xD)
Way to start, Sae
Awww, Sayaka's first appearance!
