DiVA's PV is finally out!

And it is awesome...

I must recognize when I saw the CM I didn't like the song that much. I mean, I liked it but I thought it was too generic and i always except "something else" from DiVA. But I was wrong. The full song song is simply amazing. So classy, so well done. And the music video... Oh God. They all look like real goddesses.

Sayaka and Sae are really from Venus.

DiVA's second single: CRY (covers and preview CM)

The title and covers of the second DiVA single, to be released in August 10th, are finally out! And Avex has also published a short CM!

The title of this new single is: CRY.

If I judge from these 35 seconds, the songs sounds great... But, is it me or it sounds kind of generic? I don't know how to express it, really. Generic doesn't have to be bad but lacks originality... Right? Oh well, I must not base my opinion on 35 seconds :p

So, this is the information of the upcoming single!

How to forget about that sweet PSP game released last year about AKB and you?

How to forget my experience dating Sayaka and Sae? And they confessing their love to me only?

(Speaking of, I took pics of the game and I never blogged about it... .__.)

Anyways, it's been announced that in October 6th a second dating game will be released! It's the same game than before, but this time it was made in Guam, and Guam means: BIKINIS (seriously guys, seeing SaeYaka in bikini is a glorious experience for any human being).
And hey, speaking of bikinis, when presenting the new game, the girls were asked about their favorite/recommended confession scene, and Yuko said: "Sayaka has a scene when she confesses while getting undressed..."

I don't know if you remember, but when the earthquake happened in Japan, Sayaka, Sae and others were in Guam, so this is why they were there!

It's good AKB had the budget to take all the girls to Guam to film :)

DiVA's second single to be released in August 10th!

I'm back from the afterlife (only for a while), to post about DiVA :3 (this reminds me I haven't even written about their first single sales @___@)

Anyways, today was announced the release of their second single!!! AUGUST 10th IS THE DAY, MARK IT ON YOUR CALENDAR.

According, to DiVA's official site, the single will have 3 types (A, B and C) at ¥1,600 each. First press will include an event ticket.

There will also be a theater version that will be sold through Mumo shop and that will include a handshake event ticket and a random member picture.

As soon as it get available in CD Japan, I'll let you know :D

I can't wait already. I hope the song be even better than Tsuki no Uragawa and the jacket covers improve, haha.

Hey guys! This is Hana, borrowing the blog to let you know some important news while Ange is busy working and doing all that other real life stuff she does, lol.

Anyway, you all remember the group blog shared by all Office48 members, called "1LDK 6-nin Gurashi", right? Of course you do!

Well, a few hours ago, Togasaki-san posted to let us know that the 5 remaining members of the "household" will be "moving" to their own solo blogs! He's still thinking about whether or not to delete the old blog, but the fans on Twitter have asked him to please not, so he's taking that into consideration. Personally, I hope that the house that love built (well, that's how I think of it, LOL) will continue to exist as a reminder of all the good times that we've all had!

Anyway, without further ado, these are the new solo blogs!

Of course you'll immediately go bookmark Saeyaka's blogs, but you should bookmark the others as well since they've been known to post about our girls from time to time. :D

Hi, hello... I'm sorry I haven't written in a month. You have no idea how bad I feel about it.
No, my fandom hasn't faded away, I just have no time at all to have a sit and write in peace. I'm sorry... u_u I have so much stuff to do lately, I don't really know how to manage my time =/

Anyways, just wanted to let you know (as if you didn't know already) that the election results are coming in a few hours! Did you vote for Sae or Sayaka? I hope so!

I don't know what to expect from the results. I'm not really worried about it but of course I have expectations! If they're not fulfilled, I won't really feel bad, though.

I really hope Sae be a top ten. Actually, I want her to rank better this year, so she has to be at least #8. I think she can do it. What do YOU think?

As for Sayaka... She's been working hard as usual. I don't really care about her rank anymore (I explained why in my previous post), but of course I worry about HER and what she will feel if she doesn't rank well. I just hope she learns for once that, despite the number of votes, no matter if they're not as many as she wished, her unconditional fans will always support her, fiercely. We won't leave her alone.

Now, I gotta go to sleep :3

Everyday... Elections

May has started and it can only mean two things: DiVA's debut single and AKB's 21st single release. Since I've been writing a bit too much about my new obsession (aka DiVA), I'm gonna write about AKB this time.

May 25th is the date when Everyday, Kachuusha will be released. I guess you already know everything about Kachuusha: The title means "Everyday, headband", Sae is a senbatsu and Sayaka isn't, and the non-limited edition of this single includes tickets for the third AKB family senbatsu elections.

So let's go in order:

1. Headband.
Is Akipi going to release singles related to hair stuff every year by this season? What's coming next year? Curlers? xD
Now, don't get me wrong, I like the song. It's not amazing, of course, but it doesn't cause me nausea, which is good. I haven't watched the video yet because I'm lazy and I'm not very interested on it, but I've heard it included parodies of past PV's. This can only mean one thing... They're running out of ideas D:

Funny thing... The start of Kachuusha reminds me a lot the start of X Japan's Say Anything. Actually, I dare to say Kachuusha is an AKB'ed remix of Say Anything... xD

2. Sae is a senbatsu, Sayaka isn't.
This doesn't call anyone's attention anymore, does it? Sae keeps being super popular and professional and her reward is there: 100% senbatsu. What I hate of this new single, though, is that Sae was left out from the covers. I DON'T UNDERSTAND IT. Do I see this NMB girl took her place? I DON'T GET IT! Sae is much prettier u__u

Sayaka isn't a senbatsu and it's nothing new. If I base on what Akipi told Sayaka during the DiVA show in Shanghai, "I know that Akimoto has been put in a corner by her nervous condition, so much that she wanted to escape", then I can guess Sayaka's days as senbatsu are over because she's naturally nervous, it's part of her, and Akipi doesn't like that. But it's fine, I got used to the idea of not seeing her as a senbatsu and she has DiVA now, so I'm happy with that. I don't really mind the senbatsu thing anymore. The only bad thing about Sayaka not being a senbatsu is that I won't see her in bikini. But since she has been wearing lots of bikinis lately because of DiVA... xD

3. Non-limited edition of this single includes tickets for the third AKB family senbatsu elections
Elections... Again. This year I'm not even a bit excited about this. I have too many things to worry in real life to ALSO get worried about stuff of the idol world. Plus, we know the outcome of all this anyways. I'm not gonna risk my bowel again this year! Irritable bowel due to idol elections is no fun D:
Also, when things happen once and again, they're not fun anymore. Like, ask any person of the world if they like to go to vote after they have done it more than twice. In my country, voting is compulsory. Because no one would go to the polls if it wasn't an obligation. And yea, I'm that kind of citizen that gets bored easily xD

I don't know how Sayaka will do this year, and I don't know what I personally want for her. Being a senbatsu must be flattering and encouraging for her but... Last year being a senbatsu was a disgrace, imo. I don't see the point of being a senbatsu if you don't even appear in the PV. It's more like a bad joke. And I don't want to see those sad eyes saying 'I was a senbatsu, but I can barely be seen in the video' again. Wouldn't it be better if she were the first of the undergirls? At least she'd get some spotlight... But as I said, I don't want to think about it. Thankfully, Sayaka has DiVA now and at least for this year, I can rely on it.

When we speak about senbatsu... If you're below the 12th, you are nothing but a back dancer. And even worse: if you're not 1st, 2nd or 3rd you're just not that important.

Of course I bought my copies and I'm going to vote, but this time, I won't get desperate about the outcome. My oshi is so valuable, she's beyond any ballot result.

As for Sae... I've always trusted her popularity and capacity to gather fans. And this year won't be different. Sae is unique and people recognize her hard work. SHE WILL BE 6-7 THIS YEAR. SIGN THIS ON A PAPER.

Oh right.

This is cool: The election promo videos. Every year they release those awesome videos where the girls let their imagination fly and come up with crazy ideas, and this year is not different. Well, Sayaka tends to be crazier than Sae on this.

I know this blog isn't half of interesting if I don't provide translations, but I'm sorry this year I can't do it. I did it the previous years but this year my Japanese isn't as decent anymore so if I start translating the videos, I'll prolly take the whole month. AKB48 Akimoto Sayaka’s Life Experience

She really likes Shanghai; the people (in Shanghai) are great, as well as the city! Additionally, she very much wants to learn Chinese and to use it for her self-introductions. Having been born into a mixed family, Akimoto Sayaka seemingly should have learned more than one language. Although she modestly claims that English is not good enough, she feels that with fluency in English and Chinese will one only be fundamentally able to participate in worldwide communication.

“I really hope to interact with many people, so from now on I want to learn it properly.” Cheerful, optimistic, and matching together with her straightforward character, Akimoto wants to partake in even more communication. AKB48 can be seen in stage shows, songs, variety shows, movies, etc. In the course of experiencing these and improving oneself in every area, Akimoto receives help and encouragement from different people. Since leaving home and entering show business, she reminisces about life, “The most important thing in life is the relationship between people. Cherish gratitude. It’s a must!”

A few days ago, she became a regular guest on the variety show “Waratte Iitomo!”. She hopes that she “is able to become a completely different person.” And talking about the experiences of stage performance, Akimoto enthusiastically summarizes, “The so-called acting is rougly about not letting others to see the characteristics of Akimoto Sayaka.” Later, she doesn’t forget to murmur, “Recently, some members told me that my expressions on stage and after shows are completely different. I was probably unconsciously too absorbed into my own character!” All along she keeps her energy full of great effort and strives in advancing “to become an outstanding, well-rounded actress”, and recently she made it a goal to perform in CHICAGO The MUSICAL! This is perhaps what Akimoto Sayaka actually is; courageous, straightforward, persistent, just like her own catchphrase, “strong, noble, beautiful 20-year old Akimoto Sayaka.” (Ange's comment: Sayaka is 22, whoops, the magazine made a little mistake on this.)

Indeed, as a member of AKB48, and a former captain, the challenges and pressures Akimoto will face cannot be underestimated. “Character traits such as liking denim or cool styles of clothing, as well as being quite an active person, largely contributes to a male image, right?” The truth is, whether in her own words it is “easily her tone physique” or fishing out Oohori Megumi’s cell phone from a scalding hotpot on TV, you can see her courage take on a male character.

Q: Because Akimoto Sayaka is “strong”, does that mean you assume even more responsibility than other members? For example, tasks that require more physical strength?
A: It doesn’t have to be like that, right? (lol) Everyone is able to assume their respective responsibilities.

Q: “The day you are praised by someone, you write it down in your notebook.” Is this true? Right now, in your notebook, how many praises have you noted?
A: Because I don’t have self-confidence, I sometimes write it down. Lately, I’ve been remembering them in my heart. I’ve only written about one page. (lol) About halfway into it, I got tired.

Q: On a television show, you really threw yourself into imitating Ozaki Yutaka. Do you like this type of man?
A: Since I’m quite self-conscious, the person I like ought to be able to tolerate my type of personality. Speaking in this respect, I think…maybe, right?

Q: After Kouhaku Uta Gassen, you brought a complete box full of bentos back home saying it was “a shame to let it go to waste.” And then what? You ate it by yourself?
A: I put it in the fridge at home. Later, it was all eaten.

Q: Among the group, which members do you have the best relationship with? If you could become someone else, who would you wish to be?
A: Miyazawa Sae, Kobayashi Kana. I would really like to become Oshima Yuko.

Q: Has there been a time recently that you’ve wanted to cry your eyes out?
A: On the plane watching Toy Story 3, I was moved to tears.

Q: Which do you like more? Singing or acting?
A: I like both very much. Preferably acting. To me, its just like “Oh, I’m here. I’m still alive,” this sense of life purpose.

Established in December of 2005, AKB48 is a Japanese idol group.

AKB48, comprising of 48 members, is divided into 3 groups: Team A, Team K, Team B, each group with 16 members. AKB48 is associated with Akihabara, Tokyo, Japan and where regular performances are held at the theater (AKB48 Theater).

Part I

The presentation conference of DiVA, AKB's first dance and vocal unit, took place on April 20th in Ebisu Act Square. It was announced there, even before their debut, that the members' number will increase and there will be auditions for new members.

DiVA are Akimoto Sayaka, Umeda Ayaka, Masuda Yuka and Miyazawa Sae, who have had their first performance at the "Kobe Collection 2011" in Shanghai. Since they could not hold a presentation and live performance in Japan before their debut, about 150 people from the music business and mass media gathered at this presentation event.

As documentary footage about the formation of the new DiVA was shown (in the past, DIVA were originally a time limited unit from AKB48), the four members appeared on stage with a nervous look.

Akimoto: "I would like DiVA to become a group who can enlarge their vision and aim for Asia."
Umeda: "I want DiVA to become a cool unit that's liked, of course, by men, but also by women."
Masuda: "I want this unit to be adultlike and womanly, so I will shut off the "I love takoyaki" Osakan character I have in AKB and become a unit that's recognized worldwide and that can lead AKB, in a good meaning.
Miyazawa: "I want to show in DiVA a womanly coolness that's different from AKB."

Each member talked about their aspirations about DiVA and bowed their heads deeply. Then, after the greeting, they energetically performed two tracks from the debut single that will be released on May 18th, "Tsuki no uragawa" and "Fade out". Alongside female backdancers, they showed a dance that expressed womanly coolness all around, differently from AKB48, and after singing Masuda exploded with happiness saying "It was fun!".

When the event host read a congratulatory comment from the producer Akimoto Yasushi the members showed their tears.

"I know that there are tears of frustration below Miyazawa's smile. I know that Masuda has been irritated and uneasy about the fact that her talent wasn't valued. I know that Akimoto has been put in a corner by her nervous condition, so much that she wanted to escape. I know that Umeda was worried that after having to rest for a foot injury she had lost her place." (From Akimoto Yasushi's congratulatory comment)

The truth is that the four girls in DiVA's activities have never been smooth sailing, and that despite that the four of them have always kept walking towards their dream without ever giving up. Because of these two truths, the unit DiVA was born. At this point, we can guess how memories of several happenings were coming and going in the minds of the four girls standing on stage.

Moreover Akimoto Yasushi talked about the "i" in DiVA. "It's too early for you to bear the name of "divas". I don't want you to consider this CD debut as a goal." "I want you to make more and more efforts to become the number one, the only one dance and vocal unit". This fatherly feelings led him to put a small "i" in DiVA to symbolize they're still incomplete as "divas".

And finally, a surprising announcement. "From now on, we will hold auditions and add more members. My image is a unit of about ten people." "Always keep a friendly rivalry. Please, make DiVA complete. When you have become a vocal and dance unit that everyone can recognize, I will turn the small "i" into a caps "I"." The members first learned these news from this announcement from Akimoto Yasushi. From the summer of 2011 auditions for DiVA will be held.

The four members made positive comments like "It's a new stimulus, and we want to grow up by friendly rivalry", but Miyazawa Sae, when the auditions for the "incomplete DiVA" were announced, unconsciously let her tension explode by raising her hands.

Today was a DiVA-y day.

We had our first performance in Japan, and the announcement that 10 people would be added this summer was made...
(Note: Sae messed this up, it's only 6 new members that are being added, for a TOTAL of 10.)

This day held a lot of emotion for me, but I think that days this fulfilling are fantastic!!!!

Today, during DiVA's press conference, we got a message from Akimoto Yasushi-san.

Ever since DiVA was formed, we haven't had much time to talk with Akimoto-san, and so today, along with feeling happy that I could hear about DiVA from him, I also felt very strong.

The reason that DiVA's "i" isn't capitalized is...

We're still not complete, or so I learned through Akimoto-san's message today.

I was honestly very happy to hear the words "not complete" from Akimoto-san.

Because, until today, I thought that we shouldn't show anyone anything but perfection...

And, once DiVA has become a complete, artist/group, DiVA will turn into DIVA.

Of course, for now, we're still "DiVA".

But we are who we are!!

It was announced already that we'll be welcoming new members in the summer, but even if new members come in, we'll all work together to polish ourselves and aim to become the completed "DIVA"!!!!

As for what will happen from now on, we can't help but enjoying it, but no matter what happens I'd love for the fans to watch over us.

So that those feelings are easier for all of you to form, the four of us will combine our power and work hard for now!!!!

Today, so many members of the media and staff gathered for us.

I was able to feel the bonds between people, along with human warmth, so I was really so happy that I could have cried.

We're doing our absolute best so that the day that we can live up to your expectations will come as soon as possible!

We're still not complete, but everyone, please warmly watch over us...

We were enjoying DiVA too much, didn't we? They were being promoted, they were talented, they were the cover of magazines, took nice bikini shots, went to Shanghai, their single ruled, and we were looking forwards the debut day. And they are going to debut on May. That hasn't changed. But May will be the first and last single of DiVA as we know them, or as we are starting to know them...

DiVA has a promoting performance today that included "Tsuki no Uragawa" and "Fade Out". After the performance, Akimoto Yasushi (Akipi), sent a message to the girls announcing that DiVA would add more members through an audition.

AKB48 Unit DiVA will grow to 10 members this summer - Akimoto Sayaka says "Just like EXILE..."

On April 20th it was announced that the unit DiVA composed of the popular idol group AKB48's members Akimoto Sayaka (22), Miyazawa Sae (20), Umeda Ayaka (22) and Masuda Yuka (19) will hold auditions for additional members this summer. It's decided that 6 members will be added, and it will become a 10 people unit in the future. Akimoto (Sayaka) talked about their ambitions, saying "EXILE have added more and more members and their performances have more power. I want DiVA to be a unit with impeccable teamwork.

The four girls have their debut on May 18th as AKB48's first dance and vocal unit with their single "Tsuki no uragawa". Today a presentation show was held in Tokyo, and the general producer Akimoto Yasushi announced the addition. Miyazawa said "I hope girls who wouldn't audition for AKB48 will think 'I want to join DiVA!'." Umeda said "I want DiVA to be a cool unit that can be liked by men and women alike", Masuda said "We'll do our best so we can become adultlike and womanly divas recognized throughout the world".

Adding Miyazawa to three of the members who previously sang as the limited time unit "DIVA" as two singles' coupling songs, DiVA was formed and they made a surprise announcement on January 10th. Today they performed their debut song "Tsuki no uragawa" as well as the coupling song, "Fade out", and Akimoto (S) happily said "I am so glad we can make a start to transform this incomplete unit into divas".

Akimoto (Y) announced the auditions in his comment, saying "From now on we will have auditions and add more members. Please, make DiVA complete by keeping a friendly rivalry. When you have become a dance and vocal unit that's recognized by anyone, I will turn the "i" in DiVA to a capital "I"."
It is still unclear whether auditions will be open to regular people or it will consist of members from AKB, SKE, NMB. Details will be announced later.

I don't understand why they do this. DiVA was too perfect to be true and they decided to screw it a bit? I don't understand the reason behind this decision.

They haven't even debuted yet and they are already implementing changes? For God's sake! We still don't know how much they're going to sell! For me, this is a slap on my face, and not only mine, also the other DiVA fans and the girls themselves.

Is this 50% decision of Akipi and 50% decision of AVEX? Who can I directly blame for this?

After reading more articles, I think Sayaka's comment about being like EXILE was just a desperate answer from her. EXILE-like? Are you kidding me? Personally, I never liked EXILE's concept. They're just a bunch of dudes dancing like idiots behind a couple of dudes. I know, AKB is almost the same, except they're all holding microphones (sometimes). My favorite boy band, Da Pump, had some time of hiatus and, at the moment of their come back, they adopted the EXILE concept. In this case, a singer, a rapper, and 7 dudes dancing. Did it work? Of course not. People do not want a second EXILE. Why would they want a female EXILE? Isn't AKB close enough to that concept already?

Now, what if Sayaka "guesses" it's gonna be like EXILE, but she's wrong?

Being like EXILE means that at least, the 4 girls will keep singing and the rest can dance on the back as if there were no tomorrow. But what if the management wants they sing, too? What are we talking about? So Sayaka, Yuka and Ume-chan will have to content with being part of "the rest" again? And Sae? She still shines more then the other three on AKB but, we know it's not enough. So why does she have to lose the opportunity to shine as an equal?

I don't like this idea. I don't like it if they're gonna be like EXILE and I like it less if they're gonna be like Warota or AKB itself (add more members until they explode or end up eating each other because there is no more space).

Seriously. WHAT IS THIS. Why fixing what is not broken, Akipi, AVEX, whoever is the responsible of this.

Now, what I find more stupid is: They changed the original DIVA (the group of underdogs that sang AKB b-sides) for DiVA (Sayaka, Sae, Umeda and Yuka) and left many other non popular AKB's, that were part of the original DIVA, out. Wouldn't then be more smart and respectful from the management just to add Sae to the original DIVA so never put aside the other girls?

This is like:

1. Had an almost perfect group.
2. Made it perfect.
3. Made it imperfect.

Sometimes I wonder why we even bother being so passionate about this. Why we even bother supporting something that the management will screw tomorrow. Why we even bother spending our money on thing that will makes us cry tomorrow. Why we even bothered being happy about the DiVA announcement.

The dream of our girls, our dream as fans, ended today/yesterday.

What's the next step to follow?

I don't feel like supporting a game that costs me money and that hurts my girls.

But on the other side, I CAN'T LEAVE THEM ALONE. Despite all the disappointment, they are still my oshis. I decided to walk this path with them and I accepted the terms and conditions: IN THIS BUSINESS, YOU LAUGH AND CRY. 50% - 50%.

And here I am. Crying, after laughing on Saturday because they were so good in Shanghai.

Anyways, DiVA was in Shanghai (technically, they still are) for the Kobe Collection fashion event.

And they were there... Being cool and looking pretty next to a bunch of ugly models ò__ó

Ok, the models were not ugly... They just were outshone by SaeYaka's beauty... :3

DiVA performed 3 songs in Shanghai: Aitakatta (WTF), Tsuki no Uragawa, and Fade out.

They really sing live! I know it's not perfect, but it's very good! let's face it. Sayaka and Yuka are really fantastic singers and Sae has improved so much. They're working so hard, my heart hurts.

I know, this is old news, but I forgot to post it and when I remembered, everyone knew it already. Whoops.

Sayaka will appear in the upcoming Detective Conan special drama that will be aired in April 15th!! The title of the special will be something like "Kudo Shinichi's written challenge ~The mystery of the legendary bird~" [工藤新一への挑戦状～怪鳥伝説の謎～] (of course this translation is not 100% accurate because I did it myself :B )

Sayaka will play Ran's friend Suzuki Sonoko role (Serena Sebastian in English and Sarita in Spanish XD)... And as you can see Sonoko and Sayaka have NOTHING in common...

After the earthquake, many AKB works were pushed back and DiVA's single was one of them. Now we will have to wait three weeks more to have the single in our hands because the new release date is MAY 18th. Don't know you, but I can't wait that long... I mean, this is not ANY single, it's DiVA's SINGLE. What I've been looking forward since so long... u__u

But not all is bad news. Actually, the next two news are fantastic.

The first one is that THE COVERS were out this week...

Personally, I think the covers are pure love. They are not artworks but come on, we've seen worse *cough* chance no junban *cough*. But the covers are more than a moon and poor graphics... Seriously... Because the covers have our ladies in black and purple suits. And they look sexy and cool. That's reason enough to say the covers are amazing. ò___ó

I know you all already saw the DiVA picture in Weekly FLASH magazine, but since it's so hot, I want to post it, too.

Ugh. I want it. But it's sold out already! LOL.

Anyways, they look so great

I like how they're wearing black. Black is cool and elegant, IMO, so this cannot be bad at all. Black makes them look stylish and classy, so their image moves apart from the whore-like style some groups have. I hope DiVA keeps being classy. Please.

The other magazine I want to show you is the latest issue of SMART magazine, which features Mariko on the cover and our Twin Towers in the inner pages.

I think there probably aren't many people reading this blog in real time, but I hope that every possible person is safe now, whether they know of AKB48 or not, or whether they know about Miyazawa Sae or not…

By the way, some drawers and the TV in my room fell down, and of course the stuffed animals and small decorations I had in my room are all messed up…

As for Sayaka, we didn't know anything but we knew she hadn't gone to Japan together with Sae and the other girls. However, someone at twitter posted that a certain person saw Sayaka in an airplane flying to Guam so she should be fine. Later, was confirmed by Togasaki that all the AKB members are fine and that the theater suffered some damage so they will stop performances for a while until they find a safe place to perform until the theater is repaired.

That's the information I can give you about AKB.

As for the situation itself, I know the girls will never read this, and probably no one in Japan, but I still want to give you all my support from Chile. Chileans are very shocked about this news because it reminded us the earthquake and tsunami we suffered last year, so somehow we are feeling Japan's suffering as our own. We were supported by Japan's government last year and I hope we can support you back now. I know how Japan must be feeling right now and I know tomorrow will be a dark day for them, but I also know Japan's pride and how they will stand up and keep walking. I not only admire Japan because of its music, but because of those qualities it has as a country and that I wish my own country had.

If you want to help Japan, donate money through official entities like Red Cross or make any donation your country may be organizing. If you don't have money to help and you believe in God or any supernatural power, pray. Perhaps someone will silently thank you.

I have a friend living in Tokyo and know nothing about him. I don't want to be worried because authorities have said no Chileans were affected, but I know my 'rolling stone' friend... He may be wherever in Japan right now... .___.

DiVA's single title confirmed: Tsuki no Uragawa (short radio preview available)

Some posts ago I told about DiVA and said the title of their first single would probably be "Tsuki no Uragawa". Well, the title is now confirmed and there exist a short radio preview:

I personally like it. Thankfully, the song seems to be the style I like so I have no complaints. Plus, it sounds different to other AKB sub-units and the girls sing pretty. I can't ask for more but wishing them the best ;)

Sayaka opened her Twitter account in March 8th. The account is real and other DiVA members (Yuka and Ume-chan) have opened accounts too, so I guess Sae's account should be announced soon.

DiVA: Your new favorite AKB unit!!

And when we thought that Sayaka regaining her Team K captain position after the marathon was the last amazing news we would hear about her in 2011... We got a certainly AMAZING announcement from office48's manager, Kotaro Shiba, on this Twitter account (@kotaroshiba):

DiVA WOULD BE RELEASING ITS FIRST SINGLE ON APRIL, UNDER THE AVEX LABEL. And that's not all, this isn't the already well known AKB b-side's DIVA, but a new unit formed by SAYAKA, SAE, MASUDA YUKA and UMEDA AYAKA.

At first, people thought this could be fake, but the news was confirmed by the girls themselves, who announced the single release after a RS performance at theater.

Let me try to explain this a bit. First, notice the slight difference between "DIVA" and "DiVA" (as absurd as it is). "DIVA" is a unit created exclusively to sing b-sides of AKB48 singles. DIVA is composed by several members who are not senbatsu nor "Under Girls." Among these DIVA girls you can find Sayaka, Yuka and Ume-chan, who were the center girls of the unit together with Kuramochi Asuka. Sae isn't part of this DIVA, because she's a senbatsu member who appears in the main AKB48 singles.

The first time we saw DIVA in action was in BEGINNER, single in which they sang a b-side (the third song in Beginner's type B) called "Nakeru Basho." The second time we had a DIVA song was in the just released "Sakura no Ki no Narou (aka SakuKi)" AKB single, where they had their "Area K", the third track of SakuKi Type B. That's what we have of DIVA so far.

Now, the new unit formed by Sayaka, Sae, Yuka and Ume-chan is called "DiVA," and according with their promotion teaser, "DIVA revives as DiVA. It is born again." So, as far as I understand, this unit IS NOT DIVA but a reformulated version of it. Yes, I must say the DiVA name is unfortunate since it leads to confusion and bad reactions from people who support members of the b-sides DIVA, and if I were the manager, I'd change the name. But oh well XD.

The new DiVA is formed exclusively by office48 agency members, so this leads me to think office48 had the DIVA idea and it owns it, so it can do whatever it wants with the DIVA brand. I hope I'm explaining myself well.... x___x

DiVA is promoted as a DANCE AND VOCAL UNIT FROM AKB48. This concept makes so much sense, IMO. As you know, Sayaka and Yuka are two of the best AKB singers, while Sae and Ume-chan are two of the best AKB dancers. So we can't deny this unit is made of pure talent. Some people has complained why Kana has been left out of this unit since she's also an office48 member... Well (and I'll be diplomatic this time), if you know Kana well you will understand why she doesn't fit DiVA's concept. Period.

So, after this explanation (I struggled to try to explain the DIVA-DiVA difference so I hope you got it xD), let's talk about something much more cheerful and DiVA-centered!!!!

DiVA, as you know, is formed by our Sayaka and Sae, plus two girls you may not know well (if you're new to AKB or you just like SaeYaka and nothing else). If you read about the marathon, then you know who Yuka (ex team K, now Team B) and Ume-chan (Team K) are. You can check their profiles here and here, too.

The single will be released under the AVEX label in April 27th. The title of the songs is still undecided but Avex released an official teaser today at YouTube that tags the single with this name: 月の裏側 (Tsuki no Uragawa; The other side of the moon). It sounds sexy so far :3

Today, I ran the Tokyo Marathon.
Didn't all the runners take each step with their own feelings in their hearts?
All of your backs, giving it your all, were really beautiful.
My goal was to complete the race.
Cheers from the sidelines, the runners cheering each other on, the kindness of the members, and the cheers from the fans.
I felt again what it is to be cheered on, the power of people, and that words can become energy…
If I didn't have these things, I'm sure I wouldn't have been able to run the 42.195km.
Being supported by people, and supporting people.
The orchestra played "Aitakatta" and "Heavy Rotation"…
I'm normally cheered up by the songs that we sing, and I cried.
As I was running, people called out to me and said things like, "I listen to 'Iiwake Maybe' when I run now, so do your best."
With people whose names I don't even know, I feel like Tokyo became one.
I felt the warmth of people.
Like the Japan of old…
Things that the current Japan has lost…
I feel like I saw the connection between many people today.
There is a point to challenging things that you're not good at.
I feel like there's a more honest me than before I ran.
Honestly, I'm thankful for that honesty.
It's really important.
Sae, Yuka, Umechan, and… all the members, thank you so much.
And to everyone who supports me, and to all the fans.
It's because of you that I was able to complete the race.
I'm sorry to always cause you trouble.
At the end of the live broadcast, Miyane-san told me that Akimoto-sensei told me to take back the captaincy in an email.
I was surprised…
Truthfully, there are things I'm worried about, but I'll work hard to get closer to being captain again from square 1.
To the fans who always worry about me, and to the members, Akimoto Sayaka will start again from square 1.

Sayaka completed the Tokyo Marathon.

Chomping down on an onigiri after completing the race was very Sayaka-like.

Anyway,
all day, I was moved, and I cried.
I didn't think I would sob during the live broadcast.

Sayaka worked just that hard.

Thank you for teaching me so many things. More than anything, I was the happiest when Akimoto-sensei announced that Sayaka would be back as captain! Congratulations, really!

Looking at Sayaka's serious gaze as she ran, I thought about a lot of things myself.
She did her best with a tight schedule!

I want her to work hard tomorrow, like herself, as Team K's captain.

And, and……

We announced it earlier at the AKB theater, but

On April 27th, from Avex,

a unit "DiVA" formed with Sayaka, Umechan, Sae, and myself, will debut!!

I can't believe that I'll be debuting again.

Honestly, I'm still sort of worried, and I can't see how it will turn out, but
we'll all have a lot of experiences together, and we'll work hard to be a dance/vocal unit that all of you will recognize.

I believe some of you may know already, but today, Akimoto Sayaka was announced to be Team K's captain again by Akimoto-sensei in an email.
I'll show you the email from Akimoto-sensei.

"You worked hard. I'm sure it was hard. You weren't fast, but with every step, you aimed for the goal, and I was moved by that.

And, that was announced to the fans as a surprise announcement in the theater.

Akimoto, Umeda, Masuda, and Miyazawa formed the new 4-person unit, "DiVA", and announced that they'll have their CD debut in April.
Because I was in Hong Kong for an event, I wasn't able to be at the marathon site for that announcement, or the theater for the other annoucement, but…
I thought I should congratulate her on a job well done, so when I contacted her, she refreshingly spoke on the phone, saying
"It was really fun because so many people were supporting me!"
"A Full Marathon"
This may not be a race directly related to AKB48's activities, but it certainly connected in that it was "serious".
The manager accompanying her had a really hard time after the 20km mark, and at the 35km mark had a doctor's stop.
Despite that, Akimoto who practiced in between her busy schedule, and took her time to reach the goal, really amazed me.
And, to the fans who pushed her from the back.

Marathon 1: Sayaka crosses the finish line and gets her captain position back as reward

I can finally lay my hands on Sayaka...

I mean, on the marathon Sayaka ran last week....

So well, you all know what happened in February 27th... Sayaka ran the Tokyo Marathon and SHE FINISHED IT. Ok, I was confident she could finish it, but I was worried about her knees, because when you're not used to run, your knees can turn into dust after 42kms... But, thankfully, Sayaka could cross the finish line without any trouble! In one moment (more or less during the 34 kilometer) a reporter that was interviewing her while running (yes, what a way to practice journalism...) mentioned she felt a slight pain in her knee, but thankfully it was only that.

Even though I couldn't watch the marathon live (I'm lazy and I have never installed KeyHole), I followed it via Twitter, and trust me, it was like watching it live. LOL. Of course, some hours after the marathon, many videos were available to watch the most amazing race ever (but I was too sleepy to review them because I ended up going to sleep at 5am zZZ).

Sae, Ume-chan and Yuka were supporting Sayaka during the marathon. Yuka and Ume-chan from the studio and the streets, and Sae from the studio. It was so moving... ;___;

This was, by far, the most touching marathon ever. Even more than the original marathon. It wasn't enough with resigning to captaincy or cutting a maguro, Sayaka had to prove HERSELF that she is made to be a team captain. She didn't have anything to prove to her fans because we already know the fantastic person she is, but she desperately needed to prove it to herself. And she managed to do it when she crossed the line.

February 27th, 2011. Saturday. Sayaka holds the number 50585. At 9:10am, the race starts.

I don't have videos of the first 21 kilometers so I couldn't take screen shots of that, but according to official course map, the race started at the Tokyo Metropolitan Government (Shinjuku), and the runners passed through different places like Iida-bashi (5km), Nishi Kanda, Take-bashi, the Imperial Palace, Iwaida-bashi, Hibiya (10km), Shiba-5, Shinagawa (15km), and then back along the same route until Hibiya Park (20km), Hibiya again, and then Ginza-4, where TV started to follow Sayaka...

At kilometer 22, a reporter on the route greets Sayaka and she waves to the camera!

So far, she looks fine. By previous blog entries, we knew Sayaka had managed to run 20 kilometers, so it's not a surprise she was doing fine... But what about the other 20 kilometers? By the way, the TV show host mentioned Sayaka has a problem on her left knee due to an injury playing basketball in her school times (I wonder if that's the origin or her scar...)

The race followed the course through Nihon-bashi, where, at kilometer 24.5 and after more than 3 hours running, Ume-chan and Yuka were waiting for Sayaka. The girls were next to a street band that was playing AKB48 songs to cheer Sayaka!!

Sayaka was so moved, she waved to the girls and tried to not cry XD. Also, I think she was starting to get tired because it looked as if she were almost walking... :s

The race continued to Kayabacho-1 and Hamachou (25km), and then straight to Komagata-bashi and Azuma-bashi in Asakusa. From there, the runners turned back and followed the same path reaching the 30km mark before Hamachou. Then passed again through Kayabacho-1 and Nihon-bashi (31km), where Yuka and Ume-chan were still waiting for Sayaka to give her some presents...

The first present was a bottle with a special energy drink! The bottle had messages of many members on it and the drink was made of a special AKB mix: A of aminosan (amino acid), K of kariumu (potassium) and B of banana. The second present was a charm ^__^

This time they made Sayaka cry so much ;___;

But she had to keep running to reach the finish line ò___ó

Then, we go straight to Ginza-4 again and at kilometer 34, there was a new surprise for Sayaka!

Sae is already in the studio watching Sayaka run and she's super moved to see her friend doing her best...

But when Sae is told she's going to actually talk with Sayaka, she starts sobbing!

- Sayaka!
- Ah, Sae!
- Sayaka, I'm watching you, do your best!
- Thanks! I'll do my best! *waves*
- I'm waiting for you!
- I'm happy, ganbarimasu...
- Calm down, take it easy, ok?

But that wasn't everything... Another surprise was waiting for her...

In one of the Ginza big screens... Yuko and Tomochin... Yuko and Tomochin had a video message for Sayaka!

And they made Sayaka cry again... xD

After Ginza, the runners continued to Tsukiji-4 (35km), Irifune-bashi, Harumi-bashi, Shinonome-1 (40km), Ariake (AREA K!? OMFG), and then to the finish line, in Tokyo Big Sight, in front of Tokyo Bay.

Just some minutes before arriving Tokyo Big Sight, TV caught Sayaka again.

She started running with all her efforts...

With all her forces!!! (thumbs-up to this dude with pink cap who was running together with Sayaka during almost all the marathon, he was part of the TV staff who followed during all the race).

People in the studio were expectant, and they all stand up when they saw Sayaka running behind their backs... It was a so moving moment T____T

Sayaka was about to cross the line, and Sae was about to cry....

AND SAYAKA MADE IT! The girls in the studio were moved and Sae burst in tears ;___;

TV staff asked Sayaka to go to the studio... And they didn't even gave her a towel to wipe the sweat XD

The girls inside were waiting for her...

Sayaka took some seconds to enter the studio, but you could immediately tell she was coming by seeing Sae's face...

Then the cry fest started...

The girls hugged Sayaka tightly, specially Sae.... :3

And of course Sayaka started to cry as if there were no tomorrow...

Oh yea, the TV host suddenly remembers Sayaka had run a marathon and asks her to have a seat xD

She's so happy... With her face totally wet by tears and sweat... xD

The TV host asked Sayaka what did she think about when she was running, and she went talking about her friends, her reasons to run the race... But c'mon, we all know she was thinking of Sae... :3

Then, an e-mail arrives...

Sayaka in the Tokyo Marathon

Just a few minutes for the Tokyo Marathon starts!

Will Sayaka make it to the goal? Since we can't be there to help her and support her, we can still send her our strength and love with our hearts. They will surely reach her, I know ò___ó

The marathon starts at 9.10am, the first 10km should finish at 10.50am and the complete 42km should finish at 4.10pm.

The TV broadcasting (on Fuji Terebi) will be delayed for celebrities and will start at 12pm. During the program, Sae, ~~Kana~~ Ume-chan and Yuka, will be "supporting" Sayaka from the studio (of course the program will the recorded in real time and broadcast later).

OF COURSE SAE HAD TO BE THERE. BECAUSE THEY ARE MARRIED.

Yesterday, I had a happy job until late into the night.

I found a lot of things for me to work on, and I think I need to be more motivated as well.

It's finally tomorrow...
the Tokyo Marathon.

If asked whether I've trained to the point that I'm satisfied, I think the answer is that I still think it wasn't enough.

Last week, I hurt the side of my left leg, and I got worried.

Because of my participation in this marathon, I've gotten used to taking better care of my body, and also appreciating things, and I think my feelings have also become more positive.

The reason I decided to run the Tokyo Marathon was because I thought that there was a deep meaning in challenging something that I know I'm not good at.

Even for a sporty girl like me, marathons are my Achilles heel.

Even when I was in sports in school, I was the type who always ran at the very back of the group.

But because it's something I'm not good at, I get the feeling that by not running away from things that I don't like, something will change within me.

That I need to change.

The story goes like this: While talking about Mudaana-sana with issa, owner of the "for you, sayaka" fanblog, she mentioned she had watched some English subbed Ecogainder episodes but the guy who was doing them ran out of raws so suspended the project. I couldn't believe my eyes! English subbed Ecogainder? A person in this world had started subbing it? It was like a dream come true. Anyways... It happened I had the raws so I contacted this guy and he was very happy to re-start the project. So now every Sayaka fan can finally watch Ecogainder!

Please, let's thanx to the GAO SOUL FOREVER! fansite (the GAO has nothing to do with AKB's Hana, but with Hyakujuu Sentai Gaoranger) for working in this project and for restarting it!

This is interesting.

Sayaka and Sae, the close friends duo, will appear in February 14th (yes, Valentine's Day :3) in the Zatsugaku King show from TV Asahi. ZK is a trivia show where the participants have to answer several quizzes about different subjects.

Will Twin Towers be able to answer correctly all the questions? At the end of the season, the show will upload a ranking of the competitors. Dunno about you, but I want to see SaeYaka ranking number one!

SaeYaka at BING event

For the ones who don't know what's BING (I don't blame you), office48 members held an event today to show the search engine and explain some of its new features.

Sayaka, Sae, Masuda Yuka, Umeda Ayaka, Oku Manami, and Kobayashi Kana held the "TOKYO HEADLINE x Bing SPECIAL EVENT," in collaboration with the Tokyo Headline free newspaper (interesting to see that TH uses Google search bar on its site XD).

When asked about "searching experiences," Sayaka mentioned that she used BING to buy a new futon. She looked searched through various sites and then chose the cheapest one... ^^;

As for Sae, she stated that she would like to investigate about "Tomica", since she's interested on small toy cars. Ok ò__ó

During the event, the girls did lots of searching until Sae volunteered to search her own name. The results showed lots pictures, like one from Majisuka Gakuen, when she's covered by blood while being strangled by Gekikara. Sae of course started yelling "this is embarrassing!"

I wonder if one of the requirements for today's event was wearing very extravagant clothes and unmatching colors... Sayaka fulfilled the unmatching colors requirement, at least, and Sae was very extravagant with her Detective Conan-like clothes. She looked cute, though :B

Run Sayaka, run! - she's running the Tokyo marathon this month-

Sayaka has many, many, qualities we cannot deny. But one of them is perhaps, the biggest one: EARNEST.

I don't really know what she was thinking when she decided this, or what she was thinking when she accepted to do this... But she did it:

SAYAKA WILL RUN THE TOKYO MARATHON 2011 IN FEBRUARY 27th.

According to Sanspo, Sayaka still feels she has failed and made everyone worry due to "the issue" happened in October last year. To try to amend this, she wants to begin again and show her fans and peers that she has reborn. The marathon course is a bit over than 42km (some 26 miles). She aims to finish the career not matter her position.

It looks like Sayaka hasn't been able to overcome all the trouble from last year. She resigned as K captain and she still tries harder and harder to amend her mistakes. Yes, she's earnest, but what's the cost? A 42km marathon isn't something you just can come and run. You need to be prepared. Sayaka is training but, is it enough? I hope so.

AKB's hungry girl will run through the middle of Tokyo with all her might.

During her first training session in Yoyogi Park around the middle of the month, she told the Sankei Sports reporter, "I'm really honored to be able to run the Tokyo Marathon".
　
When she was a student, she was good at sports and was in both the basketball and track clubs at the same time, but she confessed that "I'm not good at running long distances". Even so, as she wished on her own to enter the race, there was a feeling of thankfulness to those around her in her heart.

Last October, it was reported by a weekly magazine that Multi-creator Hiroi Ouji (56) stayed at her house. She denied there being a relationship entirely, but Akimoto, who has a strong sense of responsibility, resigned as Team K captain.

She's experienced a half-marathon during a graduation event for former AKB member Oshima Mai (23) 2 years ago, but 42.195km is a whole new world for her. She laughed as she explained that the members were also surprised at her challenge. "Tomochin, who is rarely surprised, said 'Really!? Is that OK!?', and was nervous."

Currently, in addition to being a regular on Fuji TV's "Waratte Iitomo!", she'll have to work with her busy schedule as a member of AKB, but after finishing NHK's end-of-year Kouhaku Utagassen, and concerts, she's fully entered into marathon mode at the end of the month. She has Ozaki Akemi (33), who won the 2009 Athens Classic Marathon, as a trainer, and said, "I want to make 10km a day my goal, to get my body used to it. Also, I'll run around my neighborhood, and I'm working to make sure I get protein in my meals" with a lot of will.

As for a goal for time, she smiled saying, "I want to complete the race with the feeling of being the enduring, forward-moving turtle, rather than the impatient rabbit." A "new Sayaka" will be born at the goal line a month from now.

This is crazy, Sayaka. But since we are crazy for you, we will support you. This just shows how amazing you are. My wish right now is that you finish the race and take your captaincy back. You deserve it.

And I hope you stop thinking you need to be forgiven for what happened last year. That's the past, Sayaka. Focus on the future!

LOL. I was thinking the other day Sayaka is living the Hercules myth. She's being tasked labors in order to pay her mistake. Resigning the captain position, running the marathon... What else? I just hope they're not 12 labors. ^^;

Shibuya AX 2011 Fourth and Final Day -No Surprises?-

Oh oh, I took a while to write about the last day of AX. Ouch. I'm sorry MYSOCIALLIFEWASABITBUSYLASTMONTH. ~~Whoops, and there I'm talking about about my life again XD.~~

Anyways, the last day of AX wasn't very surprising. Singles took over the first 3 places and Heavy Rotation was the number 1. Who was expecting Beginner to the first place? You would expect the best selling single to be the winner this year, but it didn't happen. Does that mean Beginner sold lots of copies just because of the voting tickets for AX? Or it was the power of Yuko fans to demonstrate their oshi-lead song is the best? Who knows...

This AX had nothing exciting except Mushi no Ballad going up :p But if we think about it, AX's have never been really exciting at the end. Sure, we all get excited before and during the whole thing, but once you know the first places the only thing you can say is: NO SURPRISES.

Three of the songs I missed this years are: Himawari, Kimi wa Pegasus, and Gomen ne Jewel. How could people forget Himawari? Is it too old already? How fragile the wota memory is... *sighs*

In case you still don't know, DIVA is a group formed by non-senbatsu (but still talented) members. Among them: Sayaka, the DIVA center. Their songs are included as b-sides. Their first song was "Nakeru Basho" and was included in "Beginner" type-b. "AREA K" will be included in AKB's next single, "Sakura no Ki ni Narou" (type-b).
Encore 5 - Sakura no Ki ni Narou: This is the next AKB single, to be released in February 16th. Sae performed in this song and I'm guessing Sayaka didn't because she isn't a senbatsu member (see the DIVA explanation).
Encore 6 - Majisuka Rock'n'Roll: Gakuran and Choukoku are back. And not only for this performance, because it was announced that the Majisuka Gakuen drama will have a new season from April.

It'sd never nice to see to few songs of your favorite team, and specially, to see icon songs as Korogaru falling this much. I know the shuffling killed the team but... Korogaru and such a big drop? I've lost hopes in this world and I fail to understand people, specially Japanese fans.

I expected Mushi no Ballad to be present on the ranking today, but it never came. Now I'm scared to max. Last year, Mushi was in the 54th position, two places below Blue Rose. I want to believe Sayaka received so much support from her fans and others this year due to the "issue" that Mushi just went up a lot of places. I want to believe, but the AKB reasoning says Mushi just didn't make it. I don't wanna think of how Sayaka would feel if she saw Yuko, Takamina, and Yuki's solos but not hers. Thinking of that makes me sob ;___;

I know no one will understand except other Sayaka fans... Because no one really understands why we always want the best for our oshi. Even though it's not hard to get, somehow other fans close their minds when they read "Akimoto Sayaka." But yes, we want the best for her and we want to see her on the top of the world. And just because of this, because a Sayaka fan doesn't give up easily, I'll keep thinking Mushi will be in a better position this year. Because such a great song cannot be forgotten. ò___ó

Another year of the Request Hour Set List Best 100 concert (or widely known as Shibuya AX because of the place where is held) has started, and its first day has finished already.

Blue Rose had historically been the best ranked Sayaka unit in all the past AX. So this big drop scares me a bit. If Blue Rose ranked this low, then I think we gotta say goodbye to units like Kimi wa Pegasus or Confession. Perhaps Himawari will rank better? I'm scared Mushi no Ballad didn't make it... I'd be devastated. As for Sae, Gomen ne Jewel probably ranked much more better.
84. Sakura no Shiori: All the members sand this song so... Sayaka and sae must be somewhere in the stage, LOL.
78. Nounai Paradise: Old Team K represents ;___; Despite the atrocious lack of my dear team this first day, Nounai Paradise was standing there, AND WITH THE OLD MEMBERS. Even the graduated ones.

Better late than never, I guess D:

First of all, sorry for being so late on everything.

SaeYaka blog turned 4 years the past December 15th and I wanted to celebrate it, but I couldn't coz I didn't have time enough ^^; And by when I had the time, I was being really lazy, LOL.

Then, by Xmas, I was lazy... I recognize it :3
And by New Year I was working hard and couldn't celebrate except my greetings on Twitter =/

Plus (and I'm gonna blame SaeYaka here), there haven't been many news about the girls lately except the TV shows they've been on. Specially Sayaka. And since I don't have time to watch all the shows and to be on time with decent reviews... For example, the ALIVE review took me like two weeks to write... .___.

Yes, I know, I need to learn how to manage my time. It's not possible I don't have time for anything... I know, I know ò___ó

I want to announce that, sadly, I won't be able to keep updating the Spanish version, because if I already lack time to update the main blog, then it's obvious I don't have time to update the Spanish version. I'm sorry to all those who preferred reading in Spanish ;___; (Traducción: Quiero anunciar que, lamentablemente, no podré seguir actualizando la versión en español [que ya lleva muerta harto rato]. Si ya tengo poco tiempo para actualizar la versión original en inglés, entonces es obvio que tengo aún menos tiempo para dedicarme a la versión en español. Sae's Seijin Shiki (coming-of-age)

Today, January 10th, Sae had her coming-of-age (seijin shiki) ceremony! In case you don't remember, Sae turned 20 last years in August 13th.

The 20 years are when you reach adulthood. In Japan, there is a celebration called Seijin Shiki (成人式 - adult celebration, coming-of-age celebration), and that's the moment when all the people who turned 20 in the previous year celebrates their pass to adulthood. Women wear nice long sleeves kimonos for the occasion and they go to temples to pray and receive blessings. The ceremony is celebrated the second Monday of January.

As you can see, Sae used a red kimono. Red, the color of passion... :3

Sae talked about the ceremony in her blog, and among all the things she said, she mentioned that she was sad she couldn't celebrate with friends from home, but she was happy that she could be surrounded by press, and the other members. She added it was like a dream that she's one of those celebrities being posted in the newspaper for the coming of age ceremony (she said she used to check every year XD).

Also, she wants to keep being a hyper/noisy adult, even though everyone else tells her that you feel yourself getting older more easily after the coming of age ceremony. She wants to polish herself, both inwardly and outwardly, that's to say, be a better person, be prettier or handsomer (thanx Hana for the blog super-quick summary).

Yay! A new Ukkari Channel summary is here... We are kind of late, gomen nasai u__u

In the episode we will review today, we have the fantastic AKB duo (aka SaeYaka) with, again, the fantastic SDN due (aka MeeNon, LOL). And yes, they started yelling like crazy and all they spoke was almost un-understandable. I'm sure Sae takes drugs before Meetan and Nonti visit them...

Anyways, I hope you enjoy this summary, kindly written by Hana!

EPISODE 8 (November 25th)

It's November 25th! Well, it was. Sorry. ,________,

Anyway, they're wondering who their guests will be, and then from somewhere else in the room we hear a voice say "Pafu" (it's from Acchan's fall drama Q10). Sae and Sayaka introduce themselves and... OH MY GOD, ACCHAN'S IN THE STUDIO. EVERYONE, PREPARE TO WELCOME THE QUEEN OF... oh, it's just Nonti pretending to be Acchan again. And apparently Meetan was there but now she's left. Or so says Nonti. But you know, you can't always trust Nonti. She's said that she's Carla Bruini, Maeda Atsuko... Oh, what do you know? Meetan is here. XD

So anyway, we're on to the talk topic box. But before that, of course they want Saeyaka to play GAGAGA again. And just like last week, Saeyaka aren't gonna let them get it for free. XD But, this time is a little different. Sayaka says that this time, if they don't win, Sae will have to play GAGAGA on "Listen?", since she's the personality for the month of November (Nonti: "OH, THAT'S WAY BETTER THAN THIS" Sayaka: "HEY!") BUT~, SDN have to request it themselves. Sae says, though, that if she loses, she'll beg the staff herself. And then we hear a snort from Meetan, which Nonti calls "a laugh like Nachu". XD Honestly, the whole thing is kind of chaotic at this point since they're laughing at Meetan's snort.

Saeyaka get "R" as a topic. Yes, the letter "R". Sayaka starts by talking how headphones have an R on one side, and an L on the other. Sae asks what that stands for, and Sayaka says "Right and left", and Sae acts like she knew that (I call BS! XD) but asks why they have it on there, and does it make things sound different? Sayaka says she thinks the sounds coming out of both are different, but that the main sound probably comes out of the right, where the left carries any secondary sounds. Sayaka knows this is a boring topic, lol. She then says, "By the way, my brother's name is Ryouta, that starts with an R." Man, they're really digging, lol. Sae chimes in about her brother Ryou, too. Sae starts to say, "A little 'r' and a big 'R' are pretty different, huh?", and Sae says she kind of hates the person who sent this in (her name is Riko, btw XDDD).

As SDN get ready to pull theirs, Sae hopes that the SDN team pulls "V". XD Instead they pulled, "Why isn't there a 'Fall break'?" Nonti think it's because people would re-live summer adventures again in the fall, and that's too soon. Meetan says "TALK TO ME, SAYAKA'S OUR RIVAL NOW", and I... dunno what happens, lol. Anyway, Sae's sure this was a good match, but Sayaka kept wondering when it would be over. XD Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand the SDN team won again, lol. So Sae agrees to beg the "Listen?" staff to play GAGAGA. And in the meanwhile, we'll play GAGAGA on Ukkari Channel one more time. XD Nonti reiterates that the Korean is her favorite. XD Also, listening to the song on repeat will ensure that the beat never leaves your head. And then they play GAGAGA.

Next up is Double Heroine!

We start off with Rachel repeating the Latin that was engraved on the Skull Daniel (see last week).

Then Sumiko starts up and Rachel calls it a stupid program (LOL). Anyway, they're trying to find the location that the drugs were made in. Apparently Sumiko doesn't think she's a program, lol. Asuka wonders if the person who made Sumiko likes Rachel. Rachel is skeptical, and they take off.

After checking out the factory, they can't come up with anything. Sumiko asks Rachel if she's in love, because if she's not her skin might get all messed up due to an imbalance of female hormones. XD Rachel tells her to STFU and give the info, lol. As Sumiko is searching for something, she winds up being shut down due to searching for something that someone doesn't want her to find.

Meanwhile, some guys (George and Vladimir) in a warehouse are monitoring Sumiko's attempt to search for things. They mention that a war with the cops would be bad.

Anyway, Rachel and Asuka are planning to sneak into the factory when there's a huge explosion.

CLIFFHANGER, OMG NO!

We get an update about the public recording (happened this last Monday, and will air on the 16th and 23rd :D)

Now, it's that time of the night. SALLY AKIMOTO, COME ON~

Nonti mentions that Sally disappeared suddenly last week. :o Anyway, Nonti wants to know how GAGAGA will do on the weekly chart. She wants to know what rank they'll get. Sayaka double checks that she wants number one, vs only one. XD Anyway! While they're all arguing about how Sally should do her fortune telling, Sally moves on and...

KAMUCHATKAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA~ HAI!

And the result is... #1! But not really. #6? RESULTS AREN'T CLEAR, TRY AGAIN LATER. @__________@

Anyway, Sayaka says she was listening, and they said "Well, as long as it hits in the top 5..." Apparently Sae and Sayaka are more nervous about this than they are about their own singles. XD So we get a promo for GAGAGA, and that's it for this time! This is also the last of SDN on the show (for now?), so as everyone says goodbye...

Then we go to this week's written apology. XD Meanwhile someone (guess who) keeps saying "Pafu" in the background. XD This week's went to Sally Akimoto for not being able to read the atmosphere AND for cheating, lol. Sae yells about how maybe next week there won't be any Sally Akimoto fortunes, lol. Sayaka says she'll apologize in place of Sally. And they keep talking about wondering how SDN will do, and vowing to support them. Then Meetan & Nonti work on trying to convince Sae and Sayaka to buy 10 copies each. XD

ALIVE: The truth behind Team K's video

Chance no Junban, the newest AKB single, was released some weeks ago, and one of its versions was the Team K one. What's the special thing in this version? Well, duh, it includes the song ALIVE, sung by the best team ever (even with shuffling): TEAM K. And the best part of this is...

So here is how we get to the center of the story and get to know... THE TRUTH.

Several Team K members have been arrested due to their illegal activities, so they are being transported to their new home: WOMEN JAIL (we all know what happens in jails for women, don't we? *hint hint*)

They first show us Yuko, who has been arrested for hallucinatory substances dealing. Actually, she's one of the leaders of the self called "Kartel". She's well known for beating the crap out of the rival gang members. She's a maniac that has some fetish with blood, figures. People say she never was able to separate fantasy from reality after shooting Majisuka Gakuen.

Then we are showed our beauties...

Actually, Sayaka and Sae are the Japanese "Bonnie and Clyde." Who's Bonnie and who's Clyde in this pair... It's something we will see soon. It is said they kill the bank security guards when they show them their legs. The guards die of instant heart attacks.

These ladies have been arrested after their last bank rob. Since the sum of money was good, Sayaka bought this designer jacket and then the couple rented a motel room to celebrate. But the alcohol and other excesses made the police aware of SaeYaka presence in the motel...

Sayaka isn't very happy she couldn't finish what she started...

But Sae isn't very worried... She still had fun that night... And she let us know with that sexy thing she does... *dies*

Then we have Miichan... Poor Miichan D:

Miichan was kidnapped by the Kartel and initiated into illicit substances with the only goal of her working as a... lady who takes care of gentlemen. Although she doesn't really have good manners when she's high. And looks like Yuko owes her some fees because Miichan is trying to call her attention...

Since Miichan didn't get any reaction from Yuko, she looked at Sayaka's direction and started to verbally molest her...

This of course pissed off Sae to death... :o

...and she just exploded.

- WTF u think u are?! Watch out before talkin' to my woman! Coz she's my woman! U little rat!

OMG. Sae... You're so sexy when you piss off.

Then Sae gets up and jumps directly to Miichan's jugular, just like a wild animal...

This sequence is so fun, I can bet Miichan thought Sae was going to kiss her :B

But she didn't D:

Anyways, boring bus guard ended the cat fight in a second. Boo.

So yea, then the girls are shown in jail when "Yui The Noob" is taken to her cell. Moeno welcomes her with a very sweet middle finger salute. How cute (I didn't take any capture of that BECAUSE IT WASN'T ABOUT SAEYAKA, LOL).

Then we are shown more Sae because she's hot.

Then comes Team K dancing... ò___ó

GREAT POSE IS GREAT.

I see SaeYaka walking...
Miichan has stolen the keys of the jailer and Team K runs to freedom... It's the JAIL BREAK.

Then comes the most touching moment of the video...

As they escape, Yui The Noob falls and is left behind by the rest, however, Sayaka, the eternal Team K captain, notices this and goes to the rescue...

I mean, Team K is so awesome that even without being the original one it keeps being cool. xD

Yea, this episode had TWO guests. Yes, TWO. And they're not precisely quiet. So, figures. This episode was a mess and if you had the chance to listen to it, your ears probably exploded.

EPISODE 7 (November 18th)

"Well, we've started today, too."

Oh, no, it's just Sae mimicking Sayaka. XD

Anyway, recently there was a handshake event, where a lot of people said to both of them, "Ukkari Channel really is a nice show. It's so casual." XD

Sayaka: "Is it kind of noisy in here?"

Sae: "I think I can hear some tissues…"

And then a groan/cry/something erupts that doesn't sound like it came from either one of them. Who is it? Is it the great actress, Kobayashi Kana, back for more? :o

We'll find out after the opening!

Back to the talk about how Ukkari is casual, Sae says she's heard it's the most casual of all of AKB's radio shows! :o Then she yells at Sayaka to pull things along better, and Sayaka says that she is, damnit! XD They get ready to introduce the first song of the night, but then we hear a voice…

"Iitomo!!"

Sae tries to keep things moving, and then we hear it again:

"Iitomo!"

And then ANOTHER voice! Saying, "Hey, wait a second!"

Wait. I know those voices! It's… it's… SDN48's Noro Kayo and Ohori Megumi!

Sae's excited and so am I! \:D/ Of course Meetan is awesome and I'm happy she's there, but IT'S NONTI YOU GUYS OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!

Nonti reminisces about the last time she was on this station, and someone gets in a crack about how it was in her teens and she says "Of course it wasn't!" (she joined AKB in her early 20s, lol).

Anyway, they came to promote their new single "GAGAGA", but Saeyaka aren't going to let them do it that easily! >O Anyway, they want Saeyaka to play the song, since it comes out next week (well, at the time this aired XD). Anyway, Saeyaka don't wanna do it, and Nonti tries bribing Sayaka with more shouts of "Iitomo!" but Sayaka says "That's the wrong show!" XD

So, to decide whether or not they'll air it, they're going to have Sae take on Nonti & Meetan in her sexy corner! Meetan mentions hearing that Sae was imitating her, but Sae and Sayaka explain that it's more that whenever they think "Sexy", they naturally kind of head in a Meetan sort of direction. Sae wonders who ratted her out, though. XD Anyway, if Nonti/Meetan win, they'll play GAGAGA. If Sae wins, they'll play her favorite song. Sayaka mis-speaks here and accidentally says "nya", leading to more screwing around from the SDN team. XD After a little trash talk, including Sae trying to say that she's 20, it'll be easy, and talking about how her hip line is apparently sexy (with Meetan asking to see it XDDDDDD), and the SDN team declaring that sexy is their thing, so there's no way they'll lose. XD

Tonight's phrase is: Zaccheroni.

They all wonder what it is, but of course Sayaka knows and explains that he's coach. Anyway, after a little fussing, we get to Sae's try. The SDN girls appear to be critiquing her performance saying, "Oh, so you went for that angle, huh?", and then telling her that she's not there yet. XD Meetan goes next, but she's super embarrassed before she goes. XD Sae's sure she's got Meetan beat, but of course we've still got Nonti's try. Nonti seems a little unsure, though. XD Anyway, Nonti goes and screams "ZAAAAAAAAAA…ccheroni!" XD They're trying to ask Sayaka who won, but Sayaka leaves it to the show staff. They declare the winner as… the SDN team! So now it's time for some GAGAGA! Nonti explains the thing to listen for in the song is the "whisper voice", and also the Korean parts are really cute. :3

And now it's time for Double Heroine!

We start tonight's episode to the sounds of someone getting high off of a Skull Daniel. The chief explains that it's a digital drug. Asuka's scared of them. Rachel, however, is busy thinking back to an undercover operation with her first partner, and also the first person she loved. They were sneaking into a club, but the people in the club decided to search people. Rachel, however, forgot that her police badge was in her bag. He covered for her, yelling, "There's a bomb!", and throwing the club into chaos so that Rachel could get away. 3 days after that, they found him floating in the Sumida river. The chief snaps Rachel back to reality and announces that they're going to reopen the investigation. He then announces that they have a Skull Daniel that's still active. Asuka then says "Investigation… start!" in the cutest voice I've ever heard. XD

While Asuka and Rachel are on their way to look into the still-active Skull Daniel, they run into Kitao, a guy from Rachel's old department. He throws some shots Rachel's way while complementing Asuka and inviting her to dinner. Asuka is so excited by this guy, while Rachel's practically gagging in her voiceover about how he thinks he's hot stuff but he's a jerk. He tells Rachel she should graduate from her leather jacket and jeans, because cops should wear suits. She says she can't run on the scene in a suit, and he's all, "Oh, that's right, you like being on the scene." He then tells Asuka that she should wear a suit. After he leaves, Asuka makes gagging noises and says that she can't stand guys like that. She's managed to gain some points with Rachel for her good taste, lol. Asuka asks what kind of men Rachel likes, and Rachel just tells her to shut up as they walk off and Asuka keeps asking "Hey~". I swear, she's so cute…

Anyway, Rachel and Asuka make it to the lab, and she's working on bribing the lab tech into working on the Skull Daniel right away. He seems a little reluctant, and Asuka asks if she can beat the crap out of him. XD Rachel says "No, he's a friend. Right?" and manages to convince him to do it, with one condition: He's got two hours. "Two hours", Asuka echos. XD Rachel calls out and says she'll treat him to lunch as he runs off to start working. XD

Apparently these are supposed to self-destruct upon removal, but they have no idea how this one is still working. Asuka asks him to enlarge the image, and Asuka calls it beautiful. Then she spots some writing. She has him zoom in further, and reads that it says "Kyrie eleison laudamuste benedicimus" (Latin, if you're wondering). Asuka translates: "Lord have mercy; Bless thee". Rachel calls it a bad joke. She then wonders how anyone could even get writing on the chip (because it's so small). Asuka calls it an act of God, but Rachel scolds her saying that androids shouldn't talk about God. Asuka says there's no way to explain it with technology, though. Rachel then asks what that means, then. Is Asuka saying that God made people use this drug? That they were so pitiful with just bread and wine, so here, have some drugs? The tech calls Rachel "Ray", and she tells him not to call her that so casually. He apologizes but then says that they say that this drug makes the user feel like they've reached heaven when it's at it's peak. Rachel calls that a hallucination, and says that human's brains always do that to explain things. She is skeptical that God made this. Asuka giggles, and when Rachel asks why, says that it's funny how Rachel seems to be thinking of God as a wonderful, good presence. Asuka says that she thinks God is just a big illusion, and the tech chimes in, saying that while He gave us bread and wine, he also gave us suffering and disasters, and Asuka comes back and says that even though people have prayed for thousands of years for God to save us, He hasn't. All the bad things in the world haven't gone away. Asuka thinks that accepting those as trials from God is too naive. Rachel walks out and says she's going to investigate. As they're driving away, Asuka asks if Rachel is mad. Rachel says no. Asuka asks if Rachel believes in God, and Rachel says no, but that she didn't want to have those things said to her by an android. She apologizes, and Asuka says, "You're so honest. I love that part of you." and kisses Rachel. Rachel slams on the breaks and Asuka calls Rachel cute, and says that her face is all red. Rachel says "Don't screw around!"

Now, it's time for Sally Akimoto's Kamchatka Fortune Telling! Apparently some people that want Sally to predict their fortune have come back all the way to Japan. We hear Nonti whisper "Hoorii (Meetan), I really don't like this". XD Anyway, they want Sally to predict what SDN48 can do for GAGAGA to sell well.

"KAMCHATKAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA, HEY!!!!"

The results are… medium luck! "Your love luck will increase, make your emails efficient." XDDDDD Nonti says that doesn't have anything to do with what they asked about! Sally explains that the crabs weren't doing well today… Anyway, she says that GAGAGA will go far, and Sae says that Sally's always right on.

Anyway, it's finally the end! :o Sayaka says she didn't think they'd get to have Nonti & Meetan on as guests. They all say goodbye, but of course… we have a written apology. Sayaka and Sae say there's no way it could be them. But apparently it's for both of them: "You both lost to SDN48's energy". Sayaka comments that it's true that both Meetan and Nonti seem to have powered up, and Nonti explains that they don't have anything to protect anymore, saying that when she was in AKB she'd think, "Oh, if I say this I might get in trouble", but now she's free to do whatever she wants. XD Meetan says that they had to fit in with everyone else, so she couldn't have worn the makeup she's got on, etc. because she had to fit in with 16 and 17 year olds. Sayaka confesses that she's been feeling the same recently, and that she's had a hard time (although she found a way) wearing school uniforms, but she knows they don't suit her anymore. Nonti says, "Well, I could probably still wear one… HEY HEY HEY HEY". XDDD Sae says it's easy to picture Nonti in a school uniform, although it's the Nonti from about 5 years ago. XD Sayaka says that the worst was during Sakura no Shiori when the uniforms were plain, and Nonti says that sometimes she watches Iitomo and thinks, "Yeah, it's getting a little hard for her…" XD

AKB turned 5 years on Dec. 8th. There was a big celebration at theater, the 9th gen's RS were promoted to teams, and graduated members were present in the performances (as they usually do in big AKB celebrations).

Five years.

We were able to safely make it here.

A new step towards a 6th year.

I was happy to take that step with everyone.

I felt respect towards the first generation members, as well as the members who have brought AKB48 up until this point, plus I felt how great Takamina is.

Good morning.

I'm late in updating the blog.m(__)m

Yesterday, December 8th, was the 5th anniversary of the AKB48 Theater's opening day.

… so, yesterday, AKB48 had it's 5th birthday! ＼(^O^)／

Congratulations, AKB48

I'm a second generation member, but honestly I don't know whether these 5 years have gone by quickly or slowly.

5 years ago, I was still in my third year of middle school, and I was right in the middle of being busy with preparing for entrance tests, but when I think about that, I think "It's only been 5 years…"

When I think that's been 5 years since we made our theater debut, then I think "It's already been 5 years…"

When I think about 5 years in terms of my life, it feels like it's been forever, but when I think about AKB reaching 5 years, it feels like it went quickly.

Yesterday, everyone from current members, to research students, to graduated members came, and we sang nostalgic songs and new songs and celebrated.

It was fun…

For the original Team K, we sang a song we're proud of, "Seishun Girls", but as I looked at the K members wearing their uniforms, I fondly thought "Everyone has become an adult…"

This is wonderful growth.

I didn't think that the day would come where I would feel nostalgia about the original Team K at first, so having to suppress my feelings of excitement and talk with everyone was kind of hard.

But, I think that I, being able to do that, have also grown.

Now, everyone is off doing their own thing, but I don't think that the original Team K will ever change.

I think that the enjoyment and happiness that we feel because we still gather sometimes would be nice to experience next year too.

Today, while still being immersed in what happened yesterday, I have work from this morning.

I'll have a good time with the members.

SAYAKA

She didn't post many pictures last week, so among so few options, this one was the winner: Sayaka's image change (Dec 4th).

Her entry was very short and she just explained she had got hair treatment and a cut. Yup. Her cut took everyone by surprise, but we approve, don't we? I think she looks cute and younger. Now, I must confess I prefer no bangs and longer hair :P BUT THIS IS GREAT, TOO. Reminds me the Aitakatta times. Ahhhhh Sayaka, you're so cute and beautiful <3>Why my favorite? Because she looks pretty! Enough said. xD

This decision was terribly hard -______- I didn't want to choose only one, but I had to do it! And that hurt my heart D: I'm sorry, Sae T___T
